I think that i got it to work. When you din lights, it has to be from 0-1 or 1-0
Greetings!
Its been a while, I have just pushed an experimental update to the group app.
This is the work another developer (who we will name and shower in praise if it works) and has been working for him for the last 6 months, it should solve the ghosting of deleted devices.
If you decide to test, please let me know how it goes (good or bad) so we can decide whether to push to everyone else (which is not a small number of people)>
Thanks and I appreciate your help in this.
The Beta version seems to work for some groups, Thatâs great!
Lately I have had much problems with groups. Ghosted devices, yes. Also devices dropping out of groups. But groups still thinking that they are part of it.
Here is an example: The group Luci Giardino had 5 lights. Giardino 5 works properly when switched directly from the Homey app. However, the group reports a problem switching Giardino 5.
I removed the light from the group, but the group still reports the error from this light Giardino 5.
What can cause this and can I fix it?
Thanks!
Finally!
I will test it and will let you know.
Iâve been have some issues with 3.2.4 of late, as communication issue with one member of a group would prevent changes to any of the group members (which wrecked my temperature control of multiple Aqara radiator thermostats). Installed 3.3.0 experimental and this is no longer an issue. Many, many thanks to the âother developerâ for fixing this as winter has come to Norway and temp control is sorely needed! ![]()
Hi.
Where did the moisture sensor go? Lost all since the update
Can you elaborate, what do you mean by moisture sensor, like Blended / Fused or United of sensors ?
Can you maybe post that device details here, when you go to Homey Developer Tools and search for one of those sensors ?
Hi
When adding a new device, and locate sensor, there is no moisture to find.
I have many Frient temp/moist devices and want to only get out the moisture of these devices, using . They stoped for my 3 days ago

This is not readable but obviously itâs not from Homey Developer Tools
So you are not able to group moisture sensors together, or ?
I understood that you had previously moisture sensor and they are gone, so they are not ?
I guess you can use for the same purpose any of the new groups Jamie created âŚ
Yes, Blended work ![]()

Sorry for not reading anything before but would it be possible to include Presence sensors to the Motion Sensor group please.
At the moment Iâve got some of the new Switchbot Presence sensors and would like to group the with all my other (IR) motion sensors but I canât pick them as device from the list of available (motion) sensors.
Maybe you also talk to @Adrian_Rockall about it.
Thank You.
âŚwhy not using any of those?
Hello, this is a great app, thank you for developing it!
Since two days my group of temperature sensors gives strange values, after about two years of good service. It doesnât matter if I try to repair it and select 5 or 1 sensor the value is the same. It is not stuck though, it changes through time so somehow it is linked to some values.
This is valid for both my average calculation and my max. If I create a new group, it is also the same.
It doesnât tell me in which advanced flow it is used so Iâll now spend some time to search it and replace it with a logic formula updating a variable. Not as nice as using the group app.
What has changed on your side in those 2 days ?
So your temperature sensors are showing different values from your existing temperature sensors ?
Right click on given device and click on FLOWS
Hi @Sharkys thank you for your reply.
Nothing really, but it could have started earlier than I noticed.
I checked a bit and noticed that some temperature sensors which report proper data are completely discarded in the group. So the average value (or max or any aggregation) is wrong.
And if I create the group selecting a single âproblematicâ device I have an empty value.
If I first select a group of devices that give me some value and then repair the group and reduce to just one of the problematic devices, then I donât have an empty value but I read the last value before repairing the group.
I made a 6-minutes video here where:
- I go through the current sensors and show when their readings were last updated
- then create a group with all sensors in the climate section and show that the average is not the same
- then select the single devices one by one and show which ones are âgoodâ and which ones are âbadâ
The conclusion is that I have 3 âbadâ devices in my bedroom, kitchen and living room (all Sonoff SNZB-02P) and 4 âgoodâ devices (2 sonoff SNZB-02P, one sonoff SNZB-02D and one Hobeian ZG-303Z soil moisture sensor)
No idea what to do to fix that. Also I âsolvedâ by simply not using groups for this average calculation so it is not anymore important to me but I wanted to share this.
I randomly checked adding/grouping some of the temp. sensors you did and canât replicate the same problem Iâm on latest and also latest Homey 2023 firmware.
Can you maybe try with UNITED group instead ? That works for me as well.
Last but not least for those âbadâ ones, can you share their capabilities from Homey Developer Tools - just the capabilities section might be interesting.
Thanky Sharkys.
So the United group gives also the problem, on the same devices.
Regarding capabilities:
Bedroom temperature sensor capabilities:
| ID | Title | Type | Value | Set Value | Last Changed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| measure_temperature | Temperature | number | 23.7 | 4 minutes ago | |
| measure_humidity | Humidity | number | 32.2 | 2 minute ago | |
| measure_battery | Battery | number | 56 | 2 months ago |
Kitchen temperature sensor capabilities:
| ID | Title | Type | Value | Set Value | Last Changed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| measure_temperature | Temperature | number | 24.5 | 1 second ago | |
| measure_humidity | Humidity | number | 31.6 | 1 minute ago | |
| measure_battery | Battery | number | 100 | 1 year ago |
Living room temperature sensor capabilities:
| ID | Title | Type | Value | Set Value | Last Changed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| measure_battery | Battery | number | 89 | 1 month ago | |
| measure_humidity | Humidity | number | 31 | 3 minutes ago | |
| measure_temperature | Temperature | number | 24.2 | 43 minutes ago |
I checked for firmware updates and there are no updates available
