The flow works now. Nevertheless the camera is not performing a 360 turn. :hugs:

@kilofox Alright thanks for testing. Might be that it doesn’t work as I would expect :frowning:

Hi! Trying to install my recently purchased cameras, but I’m stuck and hope that someone has an idea on how to move forward. I created a secondary account, shared the cameras via “Manage homes” and installed the app on Homey. Logged in via More - Apps - Eufy Security - Configure App, and everything seems ok. But when I try to add a device, it briefly says “Looking for devices” and then sends me to a login screen. I login (again), it says “validating login details” but then immidiately goes back to a login screen. After a while i get “Timed out after 30000ms” error message.

Could this have to do with the 4.0.0 update of the iOS app of Eufy Security? I noticed that there’s a suggested workaround, should I invite from the primary account on the Android device or should i set up my secondary account on the Android Device?

Thankful for all help!

Hey @Erik_L1
Thanks for contacting.

Yes unfortunately Eufy made a update but only for IOS. Therefore I can’t fix the Homey app (yet).
The suggested workaround should work like this:

  • login in the Eufy app with the main account on android (or old IOS app version < 4.0.0)
  • invite a extra user
  • login (create) with the extra user account
  • accept the invite
  • logout

Then in Homey you can get the devices because you shared them using the “old” way

hi, I’m brand new or next brand new to Homey. today I got my Eufy wifi dorrbell and have tried to start it in Homey. has created 2 accounts but when I enter my data devices on Eufy it does not download devices but just sends me to the login again. does this have to do with 4.0?

Hey @Patrik_Andersson
Are you using a Iphone for your Eufy devices?

Unfortunately at the moment theres no fix yet for the new Home Management.
I’ll make a fix ASAP when i have the API available

@Patrik_Andersson I would suggest to use above instructions.

yes, it’s true that I use iPhone, I can work around the problem of putting it in with an android phone

Great! Sorry for the inconvience

now I have tried to log in and download via an android but it will be the same result. 1 time log it in but find nothing and then it threw me out. have tried with 2 different accounts but without success on an android. what am I doing wrong or is it simply not working?
!

@Patrik_Andersson Did you download the Eufy app on Android or the Homey app?

Onley homey, do I have to have both downloaded?

now I made it work. now I’ll just manage to get a picture in homey with.

Only Eufy :stuck_out_tongue:

Because the IOS version is not compatible with Homey at the moment
