[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

@James_Mans and inside the security mode. Can you share that too. Also please limit your post to 1 post at a time.

@martijnpoppen sorry, I only did that as it won’t let me add more than 1 image per post, I can’t see the security node, can you share a screen shot of the settings you need ?

@James_Mans you can find it in FAQ Q1 [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum

The tinyurl redirects are broken it seems.

I haven’t changed security settings and never set Home/Away settings for Eufy. Nothing changed on my end in my settings or on my setup, save for moving unrelated devices to my IoT network off of the main network earlier in the week.

I’m having similar issues to others in the thread, it seems. Was there a Eufy update that broke something?

I tried removing your Homey app entirely (and rebooting everything dozens of times) and re-adding every Eufy device with the same issues.

The Flow shows as technically correct but as illustrated in the previous screenshot, your Eufy Homey App is not seeing the events from Eufy Security (which is correctly sending push notifications and identifying events through their own app).

@JonCo it might be a Eufy update which break the notifications but i won’t be aware of that. We will see in the coming period if more people will experience it. There are currently 3 people facing this issue. Probably more will follow. So matter of time, and then maybe we can find a fix. This happened a while ago as well and we could fix it. But please read this as well:

this has proberbly already been covered, but it seams homey is not getting notifications from Eufy the eufy mobile app is getting them, but not homey, it was on and off for a couple days now nothing is getting through

@Ronwell read one post up above yours.

Hi @martijnpoppen

The app has suddenly started to crash. After restart it crashes again. CPU and RAM looks normal.

App version 3.41.4

Homey Pro 2023 version 13.2.1

Can you see anything in the report?

Hope this works.

Hi @Chanel65
Still not coming trough
I would suggest to restart your homey. Or contact athom

Hi Martijn,

I did quite extensive testing and ruled out pretty much all configuration-related causes.

  • Geofencing is disabled / neutralized
  • Tested with different accounts / users
  • Removed custom mode and tested only with standard Home / Away modes
  • Manual mode switching inside the Eufy app works correctly
  • Changing security mode from Homey does not work, neither via Flows nor directly from the device card

Because direct device control in Homey also fails, I no longer think this is related to flows, geofencing or my configuration.

At this point it feels more like an issue in the Homey ↔ Eufy integration itself, possibly related to API calls, security mode mapping or HomeBase 3 compatibility.

For reference, I am using HomeBase 3.

I restarted the Eufy Security app yesterday and it worked for about 2 hours. Now I have created a flow that restarts the app every hour but I am not home so I can’t test and see if that solves the problem. It’s not a pretty solution.

@Carlos_Luchmun flows and direct control work exactly the same.
Next to that as mentioned there’s nothing I can do. The command fires successful and eufy acknowledges it. I have no idea how I could make a fix for something I cannot see or control

@MattiasL sorry it’s not clear what problem you are talking about
Please explain

Sorry. I’ve been experiencing problems for a couple of days with my Eufy things working in the Eufy app. But not in Homey. But when I restart the Eufy security app in Homey, they work for a couple of hours.

Here’s a report: a9877e74-43b9-42af-a150-7c9c75fdd1cd

@MattiasL again please explain your issue. I have no clue what I need to check for you

Sorry but I have the same problem as @Ronwell My motion sensors notify in the original Eufy app but in Homey the movements are not registered. I have created an alternative account that I log in with on Homey. All devices are visible and no error messages are displayed.
