@Carlos_Luchmun and does it work now?
Nope still the same the Dufy app gives a notification that it is put in a away or home mode but it is not put in that mode.
@Carlos_Luchmun so to make it clear for me
You change it via Homey. Eufy gives a notification it’s changed. But then it’s not changed? Did you refresh the eufy app after that?
Yes, exactly.
I trigger the mode change via Homey. Homey shows a successful action (green checkmark) and Eufy sends a push notification saying the HomeBase switched to Away/Home mode.
I then open and refresh the Eufy app (including force closing and reopening it), but the actual security mode is still unchanged.
So the notification says it changed, but the HomeBase 3 remains in the previous mode.
@Carlos_Luchmun that’s strange because if eufy sends the notification it actually acknowledged the command
Can you send a new report?
Changing within the eufy app does properly work?
Hi Martijn,
Changing manual in the app works.
I did some additional testing.
I restarted all three components:
- Homey
- Eufy HomeBase 3
- Eufy mobile app
After that I tested the following flows again by manually changing the Ajax alarm mode:
- Ajax → Eufy Home (Ajax set to Disarmed)
- Ajax → Eufy Away (Ajax set to Armed)
- Ajax → Eufy Night (Ajax set to Night mode)
In all three cases:
- Ajax correctly triggers the Homey flow
- Homey shows the action card as successful (green checkmark)
- The Eufy app sends a push notification saying the HomeBase switched to the requested mode
However, after opening and refreshing the Eufy app (including force closing and reopening), the actual security mode of the HomeBase 3 remains unchanged.
So the command seems to be accepted and a notification is generated, but the HomeBase does not actually switch modes.

@Carlos_Luchmun the report looks normal. Also the behaviour is normal; You get a notification from Eufy that the mode has changed so Eufy does see a change. That’s also what i see in the report. So eufy acknowledges the change. After that there’s no more things we can do from the Homey side
I can’t do anything in this case. The app behaves like it should. As far as i can tell there might be something wrong in your system as there’s no error what so ever
Hi there, I have recently (6 weeks ago) installed a Homey Self Hosted server, and have been triggering on my eufy door sensor, and also eufy camera when people are detected, since last thursday, I have still been getting notification from Eufy direct, but the homey flows are not triggering anymore, I have restarted the eufy app in homey, the CPU usage in the homey app is 0.00%, but there is memory usage referenced after it being restarted, is there anything that could have recently caused this, as these have been working fine since I installed homey, any help would be appreciated ![]()
@James_Mans please make sure to check FAQ Q1 [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum and please send a diagnostic report
@martijnpoppen I’m having some issues with the SB340 camera not triggering flows. They worked until this morning (triggering Nanoleaf lights when people and vehicles are detected), but now, the camera is missing the generic, non-tagged “Person Detected” card and none of my flows work (including the generic “Vehicle Detected” card).
The device is paired to the Eufy App via a Wi-Fi Mesh Extender, as it’s too far away from the HomeBase 3.
The Smart Senors (used on doors and windows) will also not trigger anything and don’t report anything to your app when the On/Off states change.
For example, I’m trying to have my Air-Conditioner audit the state of windows being opened or closed in the house, but the sensors are not seen by your Homey App (but are correctly reported and seen by the Eufy Android App).
Any ideas?

@JonCo please check if your settings are same as FAQ Q1 [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum
Most of the time it’s a security mode setting
@martijnpoppen as mentioned, I am getting the eufy alerts, but ive checked the relevant settings provided within your FAQ Q1, and all are set correctly from what I can see, diagnostic report : ff13dcee-1831-4a47-b89d-336a2c81dcfa
@James_Mans i do see a successful person detection on your doorbell. So the notifications are working. So there’s nothing wrong on the homey side
@martijnpoppen The eufy app is alerting me for everything as normal, but the homey triggers are not working as they were previously, I have an flow that triggers to turn my desk power on in the morning when the door contact is broken, that’s completely stopped working, as has the test trigger I had setup for a garden cameras, would it be worth removing the eufy app, and readding ?
Thanks Martijn, and thanks for checking.
That’s exactly what makes this confusing for me. I can see Homey sends the command and Eufy acknowledges it (including the notification), but in practice the security mode does not actually switch reliably on the Eufy side.
I’ve already tried quite a few things on my end:
- Restarted Homey, HomeBase and the Eufy app
- Tested with multiple Eufy accounts (owner + user accounts)
- Removed my custom security mode and tested only with the default Home / Away modes
- Manual mode changes in the Eufy app always work fine
The issue only happens when the mode is triggered through Homey flows.
When you mention there might be something wrong in my system, could you maybe be a bit more specific about what part of the setup you suspect? Right now I’m struggling to see what else in my setup could still be causing this.
Could this still be related to something like cross-home settings, account permissions, or some token/session issue?
@James_Mans the timeline you refer to is not the same in homey. You have to enable push notifications for the door sensor. Without it doesn’t work
Please share a screenshot which indicates that door sensor push notifications are enabled
@Carlos_Luchmun it’s more like a networking issue it seem. But still strange as eufy does acknowledge it. Like there’s something reverting it.
- Did you have any geo settings setup in eufy?
- Can you try from the device itself in homey? (Like not via a flow)
