Hi Martijn,

Could you add the Eufy Water and Freeze Sensor to the system for me? I’d love to set up some smart flows for it.

Here are a few ideas I had in mind:

  • Car defrost reminder: A notification when I walk into the kitchen in the morning, reminding me to scrape the car windows.

  • Automatic water shut-off: Automatically closing the main water valve as soon as a leak is detected, to prevent the bathroom from flooding.

Do you think we can set this up? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,

I am a basic Homey user and could use some help with my camera setup.

My Setup:

Cameras: 2 x Eufy SoloCam E42. They are permanently plugged into USB power (not running on solar or battery alone).

Connection: Connected via the Virtual IP Camera app, as they aren’t fully supported by the official Eufy app yet.

Dashboards: 2 x Android tablets mounted in the house displaying the Homey dashboard.

The Problem:

When I load the dashboard, the live camera feeds start off great. However, after about 5 minutes, the feeds freeze and go completely still. To see outside, I have to manually refresh the dashboard.

Sometimes, I also get this error on the screen: “webRTC offer failed”. Closing and reopening the Homey app on the tablet fixes the error temporarily, but it always comes back.

Is there a way to get a constant, reliable live feed on my tablets with these cameras, or is this a limitation of the setup?

Any help or advice would be massively appreciated!

@Shaun_Elsworth known Eufy issue. They limit the stream to 5 minutes. In this app I try to restart the stream but that also doesn’t work
So unfortunately eufy limitations
