The settings mentioned were already there, but I logged out from the Eufy app and connected again. No it’s working. Thanks.
Hi Martijn,
Could you add the Eufy Water and Freeze Sensor to the system for me? I’d love to set up some smart flows for it.
Here are a few ideas I had in mind:
-
Car defrost reminder: A notification when I walk into the kitchen in the morning, reminding me to scrape the car windows.
-
Automatic water shut-off: Automatically closing the main water valve as soon as a leak is detected, to prevent the bathroom from flooding.
Do you think we can set this up? Thanks in advance
@Bart_van_Vliet No that’s not possible: [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #5 by martijnpoppen
Please accept my apologies beforehand for double checking: c31 still doesn’t work with homey and won’t in the foreseeable time? I need to replace a few s330… thanks!
@naehle please provide the type. Doorbell or Camera? Eufy re-uses their model numbers multiple times,
My bad - camera
@naehle yeah don’t see that to be supported soon
Hi everyone,
I am a basic Homey user and could use some help with my camera setup.
My Setup:
Cameras: 2 x Eufy SoloCam E42. They are permanently plugged into USB power (not running on solar or battery alone).
Connection: Connected via the Virtual IP Camera app, as they aren’t fully supported by the official Eufy app yet.
Dashboards: 2 x Android tablets mounted in the house displaying the Homey dashboard.
The Problem:
When I load the dashboard, the live camera feeds start off great. However, after about 5 minutes, the feeds freeze and go completely still. To see outside, I have to manually refresh the dashboard.
Sometimes, I also get this error on the screen: “webRTC offer failed”. Closing and reopening the Homey app on the tablet fixes the error temporarily, but it always comes back.
Is there a way to get a constant, reliable live feed on my tablets with these cameras, or is this a limitation of the setup?
Any help or advice would be massively appreciated!
Many thanks,
Shaun
@Shaun_Elsworth known Eufy issue. They limit the stream to 5 minutes. In this app I try to restart the stream but that also doesn’t work
So unfortunately eufy limitations
Thanks for the reply appreciate it will solocam e42 ever be added to your app ![]()
Would it be possible to add “Package detected” to the e340 Doorbell cards? I then could create a flow to have Homey send me a text that Tasker can read to me. I can’t get a specific package detected notification from the Eufy app…
@ArlingtonTXGuy yes think that would be possible
Hi @martijnpoppen,
would it be possible to add extra controls to enable/disable specific motion detection types (person, pet, car, etc.) on a camera? It would be nice to be able to create different detection scenarios based on presence.
@Zibillo no currently not possible and i don’t see that as a possible integration soon
I’ve a question, is it possible to set my pan&tilt cam in privacy angle?
In my eufy app I can, but you homey app does not give that option. Or am I wrong?
Kind regards
FJD
@Ferry_D correct, that’s not available currently. Don’t expect this to come any time soon
Hi @martijnpoppen ,
Hope you are doing well.
Two small questions:
- Is it already possible to use the Eufy app on a Homey SHS, or is there still an issue with FFmpeg?
- Is the self-hosted Docker container available again? It used to be much more stable and faster.
Thanks.
Best Regards, Hugo
Hi @HvN
- Not yet. Still requires multiple ffmpeg binaries
- No as I rewrote everything this requires a lot of effort. Currently you are the only requester for this. So it’s not yet on my planning
Hi @martijn,
Thank you for your response and for all the effort you’ve put into creating an app/integration for Eufy.
I used the self-hosted Docker solution for a couple of years, but it was removed from one day to the next. Since then, creating snapshots has become much slower, ranging from less than 2 seconds before to 5, 10, or even more seconds now. As a result, it is no longer a reliable solution for me.
I also want to migrate from Homey Pro '23 to SHS, and this is one of the key functionalities for which I need a solid solution.
I believe the self-hosted option was removed around October last year, and it’s now June 2026. I’ve heard and read many positive things about Reolink, so I think I will eventually replace my camera and move forward with that solution.
I’m sorry to hear that I’m apparently the only one experiencing these issues. I find it hard to believe that nobody else has encountered them, but perhaps I’m simply more critical than most users. It’s quite possible that I have higher expectations when it comes to these kinds of systems.
