Not sure if this can be fixed. Last time this was broken it took a lot of effort to get it fixed. Because we have to reverse engineer the decryption

It must be difficult to manage an app when the vendor changes the conditions now and then. Let’s hope it can be solved somewhere in the future.

Thanks! I’m working on a side project for Eufy, hoping that i can fix it once at for all, so hopefully i can get a Eufy 5-in-1 app working on Homey.

Got a question in Eufys own app if i wanted to upgrade the encryption for what they call E2EE or keep standard enc. I didnt dare upgrade it sins i knew what would most likly happen to the app.

I don’t know if this is helpful or not, but I am getting an announcement from Eufy on my watch with a thumbnail attached

It apparently changes the encryption on the camera image data incl the enc when trafficed between 2 points and i dont know if that would cause the image data to stop working with homey and the app. Hense i didnt dare to activate it. I gues sooner or later they will force it on the users. If someone activated it and find themself where it is working or not then that would be nice to know i think. How it effects the app i have no idea sins i didnt activate it when it popped up.

Currently snapshots are not working on shs due to missing ffmpeg binaries
I’m working on fixing that

@Teddy that will for sure break the homey behaviour. At the moment there are already issues with event images due to encryption

@Daan_Dagevos the Eufy clean integration was always Tuya based. With the new Robovacs they arleady introduced a MQTT layer on top of Tuya which they now are bringing to all devices
