[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

Hey @Niklas_Jansson
Thanks! Yes will Have a look!!

I have T8200N0020280B72 this doorbell from Eufy. Should I be able to enable RTSP somewhere and that way allow live streaming?

I would like to build some flows that show the video stream of the doorbell when someone rings the bell or approaches the door. Where to start?

@Rudi_Hendrix if the doorbell supports RTSP you find that in the storage settings of the device in the eufy app on your phone

And currently you can’t show a stream via flow cards that would be a request you have to ask to athom

Then I guess I’m out of luck. I don’t see anything related to storage in the settings of the doorbell in the app of the phone

Hi @martijnpoppen

I bought 3 C220 cameras when they were on sale, during Black Friday.
I have other Eufy cameras that work great in Homeyn and with your app.

However, I can’t get these to work with Homeyn.
I only get the error message “Property name is not valid”.
I can’t use the cameras in flows either.

Am I doing something wrong?

@Robin_Ling Maybe there is a smal problem with the C220.

Have been away a little. But now when i got home i noticed that 3.40.7 refuse to show Live stream for my cameras. They have been working flawless on the last couple of test versions. Homeys virtual camera works without issues against the same cameras so dont seam to be RTSP that is the issue. @martijnpoppen any good idea what might be the reason to why it died on the last version?

@Teddy nothing has changed in relation to live streaming in the test version
But of course you can install the live version and see if that resolves it

But version is still same since we last spoke
Maybe a app restart helps

Hey, my Homey Pro and the Bridge arrived yesterday. It finally got here before Christmas, so I started setting up my home.

The only cameras I’ve been able to get live streaming working on are the Cam Pan & Tilt, which support RTSP. My solar cameras (S220 and S120) only show a “EUFY PLACEHOLDER” image. I’m not sure if the issue is the HomeBase.

  • Homey Pro is connected via Ethernet

  • HomeBase 3 is connected via Ethernet

  • Cameras are connected to the 2.4 GHz network

I’d really like to have the option to view the live stream =/

I have tried muliple restarts. I see that both my doorbell and the homebase 3 have gotten some updates. The odd thing is it works on a virtual cam but not over the app. The motion sensors trigger normaly it seam. But i see that the doorbell fw update apparently screwed up the battey 0% with wired power on it. Gues Eufy still have some issues when updating the E340.

@Bruno_Lopes1 those cameras only show a live stream if they support rtsp
As far as I know those 2 don’t support rtsp. But you can check that in the camera storage settings in the eufy app on your phone

The eufy placeholder image is for event images or snapshots

@Teddy strange, can you check the live version and see if that shows a stream? And maybe but not sure it’s not possible to open the stream from multiple devices at the same time

This was odd. Installed live and then back to test and then it started working. BTW it do support multiple streams. Had 3 running at the same time for the same camera.

I understand. Thank you.

I purchased Homey specifically expecting to use my 9 Eufy solar cameras. Before buying, I asked directly and was told they would work in the Homey app. Now, at installation time, I’m being told they are not compatible.

To be very clear: advertising “compatibility” with Eufy cameras while not supporting video streaming is misleading. For a camera integration, streaming is not a nice-to-have — it is the core feature. Without it, this “compatibility” is essentially useless.

What makes this worse is that I can stream these exact same Eufy solar cameras reliably using Homebridge and Home Assistant. So the limitation is not on my side — it’s on Homey’s integration.

This is extremely disappointing, and it is not the first time. The same thing happened with Meross thermostats, and now it’s happening again with Eufy. At this point, it looks like Homey’s marketing promises far more than the product can actually deliver.

Given this situation, I will be requesting a return/refund. The product does not meet my needs and, based on what I was told prior to purchase, it was not represented accurately.
