[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

Im running the laterst test version and i have a minor thing. I have noticed that on my E340 doorbell where there is a temp sensor it is wildy thinking it stil being summer time with a 23 degree celsius when putting your nose out the door defenetly will tell you absolutly not close to that

@Teddy It’s a battery temp so it’s not a temp sensor. Next to that it only updates every hour. and only when Eufy updated it to the cloud. So if all those things come together you might have a temp which gets closer to your outside temp

Didnt know that  Havent had that doorbell long
a couple of months. sugestion maybe to change the text label to bat temp? so nuts like me dont asume to much

@Teddy yeah i’ll see what i can do, it’s a homey native capability, so those are a bit harder to overwrite

Hey!
I havent been a very active user of the app, but now that its getting darker, I was missing the result of this flow on my driveway. Basically, I want Eufy to trigger lamp dimming up when motion detected.

But this flow has for some reason been broken for a while. And now that I look into it, it seems the Doorbell hasnt sent a Motion detected for the last 2 years, while it keeps sending the “Person detected”. But since I want to trigger this also when a car drives into the driveway, is there any way of getting the motion to work? I tried a bunch of things in the Eufy mobile app, but no luck.

I don’t have a solution, but the same experience with using a motion detector as a trigger for a flow. I have Eufy motion detector in my garage, and it’s supposed to trigger the lights. The detector senses the motion, but won’t trigger the lights. Never got it to work. Also, motion/person detection via camera to trigger lights is unreliable and slow.

@Jari_Peuhkurinen check FAQ Q1 [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum

And indeed it’s slow due to the way this app works. Nothing I can do about that

@Sigurdur_Birgisson go to the motion settings of the camera in the mobile eufy app and enable other motions

This is how my screen looks in the app. I don’t have the same as you. This is a dual video doorbell

@Sigurdur_Birgisson you did enable ‘all motion’ so that’s correct

My apologies, I wasn’t sure if you’ve received the diagnostic reports I’ve sent. The app keeps crashing unexpectedly. Sometimes it restarts automatically, and other times it doesn’t. There has been an increase in crashes since the most recent Homey update. I recently updated the Homey firmware, even restored factory settings, but that did not resolve the issue. It seems to be triggered by some type of flow, but I removed all flows and the crashes continue. I also confirmed that the owner account is signed in to help me. I can’t see the details in the diagnostic report, so let me know if there’s anything you notice that could help me continue troubleshooting.

@kg4qwi i didn’t receive this report and can’t find it anywhere. Which app version are you using?

Yes since the homey firmware update a lot of app seem to crash suddenly. I’m already checking this with Athom. Please send a report and will have a look

Hi!

I have two eufy s220 solar powered cameras that draws a lot more battery when I add them to homey.

I even tried the latest test version, but it does not help.

I attached a photo of the battery drainage, you can clearly see where I added them to homey.

Do you have an idea why this is?

@Brainstorm yes normal behaviour when adding them to homey/home assistant
The connection is constantly dropped to save battery but to make sure homey stays connected and gets updates it polls every now and then causing the battery to go empty quicker

Hi Martijn,

It seems the app version is stuck at 3.37, even though I see in the changelog that there should already be version 3.39.6. How can I update this?

Thanks!

Hi @gdg161987
Did you install the test version?

Edit: it just went live

Hi everyone,

When I press the doorbell, I don’t receive any notification -while using the doorbell is pressed chart- and the living room camera also doesn’t respond to a sound was detected. I’ve already checked the FAQ and made sure that Security is turned on.

I’m currently using:
**Eufy Security v3.39.7
**
4dcc0c9a-9a6a-44f6-9313-add0a9ffde91

Can you maybe take a look for me @martijnpoppen

@Geert1992 I see a error that the push notifications are not coming in. Probably logged in in the wrong region, see FAQ Q1 A5 [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum
