Hi and Thank you for your quick response.

I tried to delete my secondary admin account, removed all my cameras from my main account, added them again, made an new secondary account, and shared the cameras from the main account.

Uninstall the Homey app, reinstalled and added everything. Only one Camere shows live stream.
And the camera that is name ā€œCarportā€, is the one how isn’t working
Also noted that it doesn’t share snapshot eather.

When I hit the on/off button in the Homey app, I get ā€œProperty name is not validā€

I tried to repair the ā€œCarportā€ camera from the Homey app, and didn’t get any errors.

Only needed to know if the carport camera was culprit.

@Linden85 nothing in the report. It’s not possible for me to debug this as I can’t see the connection between camera and Homey.
I asked Athom, this is a bit out of my hands.

Occurs after a few minutes of sometimes instant after opening the Homey app.

Installing 3.38.3 at around 2pm caused the battery level to nosedive again, having recovered a bit when I reverted to 3.37.0:

Questions:

  1. when you open the stream in VLC or any other video player, does that run longer than 5 minutes?

  2. can you give me the version number of the Homey app on your phone

  3. can you tell me which phone you are using Android/Ios

  4. you phone’s OS version

  5. can you generate a Homey diagnostic report (not for this app, but full homey) and send me the code? (then i can share that with Athom)

@Linden85 ok but then we can assume the issue is Eufy related and is not a Homey issue.

@Linden85 can you try to change the authentication of the RTSP from Digest to Basic in the RTSP settings of the camera? And then try again in VLC. It seems like that should fix it

no result unfortunately after about 5 min the stream stopped .(in vlc)

@Linden85 Not sure but this is out of my hands. I would encourage you to pick this up with Eufy support as this seems a hardware/software issue on their side

It’s the ā€œCarportā€ how is the culprit. It works i VLC, but not in Homey app.

I’ve been searching and saw lots of complaints about this specific issue. Looks like this is a problem sinds 2023/24. People created workarounds by restarting the rtsp stream every 5 minutes. Doesnt look like Eufy is providing a fix for this issue…

@Jan-Marten Yep saw that too. But not really a sustainable solution

Hello guys,

I’m currently looking into replacing my security camera’s (which require a cloud subscription) by others. Eufy is one of the candidates, but from reading up here about the Homey integration and especially the future of it, I’m doubting.

Would you guys still recommend investing in Eufy, or rather look for another vendor? The integration with Homey is for me quite important.
