@Lukasz_Kostek No idea why it doesn’t show up. Please share which camera you have. Also in the report I still couldnt see the startup sequence of the app

edit: nvm see below

New app update (:orange_square: TEST: 3.38.3):

Changelog:

NEW:
1: NEW: Local snapshot capture (more reliable snapshots) - This removes the limit of cloud snapshots (Snapshots will be made with FFMPEG which runs on your Homey)
2: NEW: video streaming for RTSP supported devices (Make sure to enable RTSP in Eufy app first)

FIXES:
1: FIX: memory leak in library
2: FIX: memory issue with snapshots (this caused app crashes)
3: FIX: removed duplicate snapshot updates
4: FIX: improved error handling in snapshot capture
5: FIX: revert battery saving fixes which actually didn’t save battery
6: FIX: check if device has streaming capability to prevent crashes on non camera devices
7: FIX: eufyCam E330 Professional (T8600) didn’t have RTSP in the Eufy SDK

BLOCKED: (Not Testable yet)
1: video streaming for Battery devices via ffmpeg (which do not support RTSP natively) (maximum 5 minutes per stream due to Eufy limitations)

If you find any issues, send a report via the mobile homey app

More - apps - Eufy Security - settings wheel right top - send diagnostic report (put your email in the input field to make it easier)

You can install the test version by clicking the link above and press install

Don’t want to be part of this test version? Install the live version → Eufy Security | Homey

@Lukasz_Kostek see update :wink: :up_arrow:

I am testing it on two T8600 (E330) Professional Camera

I also have other cameras S330 but I didn’t try to turn RTSP on them.

I don’t know why there is no start sequence :frowning:

I tried one more time by the app - 10ea4f53-d970-4006-9eeb-c3c3d543da37

Now everything is working:)

You are the BOSS!

Thank You very much

EDIT: Full screen preview is force closing the app but I assume it is too heavy to run.

Best regards and have a nice day

@Lukasz_Kostek that would be something for athom to check
Probably because it’s 4k

Glad it works. It was never implemented in the sdk

@martijnpoppen **Unfortunately, it’s going wrong again
:smiling_face_with_tear:

@Linden85 i cant do anything about that
The url looks correct. If you check the eufy app you probably see the same url.
This looks like a networking issue between your homey and your camera. I can’t help with that

Only thing homey does is consume the url from Eufy. The eufy homey app doesn’t do anything with it

@martijnpoppen

If what you’re saying is true, then why is the live feed restored when I restart the Eufy app?!:nerd_face: And why does it go wrong again after a while?

Homey is connected true a ethernet connection and i have zero connection issues with the Eufy application and with other hardware🧐

I have the same problem. It works for a while and then it stopps

Sorry to report that 3.38.2 had the same battery drain issue as 3.38.1. This what I see for the last 24 hours:

For the first few hours after installing 3.38.2 it looked like it had restored battery charging. But from around midnight ,with nothing else happening at the time, the battery level started to nosedive. At midday, I switched back to 3.37.0. As you can see, the battery stayed at 60% for ages and has started creeping back up.

I don’t want to try 3.38.3 until I have a window for checking the level without risking it dropping to nothing. That’ll be around 2pm my time tomorrow (GMT). Hopefully by then the battery will have fully recovered. I’ll let you know how that goes.

@Linden85 @Lukasz_Kostek
As I mentioned the homey app doesn’t do anything with the url other than returning it
But please send a report when it stopped

I assume you already tried to restart the stream? From the dashboard for example? (You can click the stop button )

Also please validate if the url is the same as in the eufy app. That’s not something I can check. There shouldn’t be a change

@Andy_Henderson will investigate :slight_smile: But i think 3.38.3 should fix it

@Linden85 @Lukasz_Kostek
I’m combining the message to you both as you are facing the same issue.
I did ask Athom for help on this issue to see if they know anything about the stream timing out
Next to that i’m also running a stream to see if it stops at some point.

Please also check my previous message, maybe we find something which explains this behaviour
