[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

@Andy_Henderson The notification which is coming in doesn’t contain the known person.
Is the notification setting set to include thumbnail in your eufy app? (ios/android app)

Hi @martijnpoppen, I have the same issue. I’m trying to set up the following: when the Eufy doorbell is pressed during certain hours of the day, the HomeBase should mute and the sound should play on Sonos instead.

It seems like this should be fairly straightforward, but I haven’t been able to get it working yet. Has anyone managed to do this or have any tips?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help!

Hi, is it possible to delete after a couple of minutes the recognised persons name?
Because now the name stays in the detecting tag

Mailman is ringing the doorbell and the tag is not empty and he said the person of 23hours ago

@martijnpoppen

Thanks for looking into it. I didn’t have ‘Include Thumbnail’ (I had ‘Most Efficiency’ instead). Just tried with ‘Include Thumbnail’ and got the same result.

In case it’s something I’m (not) doing, this is the flow I’m using…

The only thing I see in my timeline is “Person identified as Unknown”.

Andy

@Baguette64 you are referring to a post from 9 months ago
Please explain the issue because this app gets updated a lot and it’s not a given the issue is the same

@weide43 that’s how this is intended why would you want it to reset? It show the last known person

@Andy_Henderson yes that’s what I see as well
Can you share a new report , now that you changed it to include thumbnail?
Sounds to me like a delay issue
Also see this: [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #7696 by M_J

Also identified there that the app maybe responds to soon.

However this is in the core of the eufy SDK I use
Not sure if I’m able to fix that

If someone rings the doorbell and he recognizes someone he must say “Name is at the door” if he doesn’t recognize “Someone is at the door”

Here’s the report with thumbnail enabled:

8fa3d62e-f62d-4236-9638-bccbd9fa4242

This time it was tagged “Andy, Andy, Human” in the Eufy timeline. FWIW I’m only seeing “Person Detected - on” and “Person Detected - off” in Homey’s device timeline.

Andy

Hi @martijnpoppen, thanks for the quick response!
I’m trying to set up the following flow: when the Eufy doorbell is pressed during certain hours of the day, the Eufy HomeBase should go silent and the sound should play on Sonos instead.

I’ve added my Homey flow below, but it’s not working at the moment.

Any ideas what I might be missing? Thanks in advance for your help!

@Andy_Henderson I know, I see that too in the logs
As already mentioned the person is not part of the notification in Homey.

The E340 without a Homebase is not always working perfectly. Probably also not for notifications

As said not sure if this can be fixed as it’s in the SDK. I need quite some time to figure that out. So for now this is what is it unfortunately

@weide43 that’s not how it works…
The known person only comes back when a person is detected. What you’re trying to do is combining 2 data types which are completely independent of each other

@Baguette64 triggering a chime won’t set the Homebase to silent
Make sure to snooze the Homebase with the snooze card

@martijnpoppen if the doorbell rings then get name of person that’s detected Then “Name is at the door” , not detected “Person is at the door”

@weide43 sorry I already explained that’s not how it’s supposed to work. That sensor is only a indicator not a value which you should use. If you want to get the persons name use the token from the person detected card

Thanks for looking into it. It must be difficult for you being stuck in the middle between Homey users and Eufy. Let me know if I can help with any future testing.

@Andy_Henderson @M_J see above, i added some extra logging so i can debug the person detection. if you have person detection again, please send a report (while on app version 3.37.0)
This will help me identify the issue

No problem at all. This report after installing 3.37.0; ‘Include Thumbnail’ still set:

40efafb1-bc22-4c26-b0c5-3a7405682c6e

Eufy event tagged “Andy, Human”. As expected - using my test flow shown above - “Known Person Detected” does not fire. “Person Detected” fires causing “Person identified as Unknown” in my Homey timeline.

I hope it helps,

Andy

Hi Martijn,

May I ask for your support with the following?

I have a second account with admin rights, which has been added under “Shared devices”.
Connecting the Homebase3 works fine, but as soon as I try to link other devices that are connected to the HB3, the login page won’t proceed and instead refers to whether the devices have been shared.

I have already added this account to “The House” as well, but that doesn’t make a difference.

Awaiting your response.
