[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

Hello Martijn,

This is what I did, but I was not able to see the camera… so I could not add it.

Anyway : I found the cause of the problem → I had to change the login region from Europe to Switzerland.

This is strange because all the rest was working flawlessly.

@Arnold_vd_Linden there have been fixes a couple of months ago but none of them could fix this issue

However as i already mentioned a few post back
I can’t reverse engineer the app anymore due to changes on the eufy side

So I can’t fix this. Sorry

@PaulS yes but due to a recent change from eufy, Europe is no longer valid. As you probably saw in the country dropdown

That’s pity.

But thanks a lot for your effort en explanation.

Hello @martijnpoppen , my Notifications coming from the native Eufy App are working (again) but not via Homey.
Do you think this will be fixable at some point?

Otherwise I will disable the Eufy flows in the Homey

Thanks a lot for the update @martijnpoppen! :folded_hands:
Totally understand the challenges with Eufy’s changes.

If there’s anything I can do to help (testing, providing logs, device info, etc.), please let me know. I’d be happy to support where possible.

Looking forward to future updates, and thanks again for all your great work on this app!

@paul_kessels That’s a battery doorbell → https://www.eufy.com/nl/products/t8210
So as already suggested twice, add it as a battery doorbell

@martijnpoppen ok, sorry for that. It works now. Thank you!

The confusing part is that my doorbell is wired as I have 2 cables and a transformer feeding it constantly with power (but maybe there is another type without a battery at all?).

@Paul_Kessels the name on the box is battery doorbell :stuck_out_tongue:
There are 230v doorbells as well

Shoot me maar lek :joy:

Out of nowhere my cam in the livingroom notified me via Homey that a motion was detected. The Eufy app has the notifications disabled for this device .
I checked the flow for this cam and it was different from the others. I used: The motion alarm turned on.

The others had: Motion detected. So I now have them using the same: The motion alarm turned on.

Lets wait and see.

I’m playing with known person detection in Homey.

The camera recognises my face, and shows my name and identifies me as human in Eufy’s event list.

The ‘Known Person Detected’ when card fires in Homey, but the ‘Person’ tag is set to “Unknown”. Is that expected? I see the note attached to the card says the tag works for “Dual doorbell / Homebase 3 only”. Is that “Dual doorbell” AND “Homebase 3”, or is it “Dual doorbell” OR “Homebase 3”. I have an E340 dual doorbell attached to a remote chime, but not a Homebase.

@Andy_Henderson Did you try this?

[APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #6809 by Mike1233

@Andy_Henderson please send a report after recognition of a known person

Oh dear, I hope I’m not wasting people’s time. There was a copy and paste error in my flow. I’ve not been getting known person alerts but ‘Person detected’ alerts. the ‘Known Person Detected’ card is not firing.

Having said that, Eufy is recognising me so the Person tag should contain my name, even so.

I don’t think there’s any way to enable ‘Person detected’ notifications without enabling ‘Known person detected’. So, if the feature is supported for my E340, I have two mysteries: why I’m not getting ‘Known person detected’ and why the Person tag shows ‘Unknown’.

Here’s a diagnostic immediately after an event tagged in Eufy’s timeline as “Andy, Andy”. The previous one was tagged “Andy, Human” which gave the same result.

Any help much appreciated,
