@chrb Not that’s not correct. Eufy uses the cloud to send push notifications. If you also enable the thumbnail then it will also use the eufy server to store your event image.

So it’s not completely local. And it makes sense notifications can’t be local.

and for Eufy to Homey you need notifications, see FAQ Q1 ( [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum ). This because it’s a reversed engineered solution. Until today there’s unfortunately no other way to get the motion events

The Homey was updated this morning, and now the Eufy notifications have started working again…

Homey Pro has been updated to version 12.5.3. Aug 07 2025 04:14:38

Eufy Security still seems to be on v3.36.1 (Test) so no change there.

That’s good news and maybe bad news at the same time haha

If it occurs again then try a restart it might resolve connectivity issues

The same thing happened to me about two weeks ago. Suddenly, the flows I had with a Eufy door sensor that triggered an action started working, but it lasted about four days and then stopped working.

I’m still trying to optimize my use of eufy cameras in homey, and I often have an error while self host snapshots.
I listened to your advises a few weeks ago and slowed the snapshots. But I have random errors : Card missing, device not found, etc so I tried running it mannually and here is the screenshot.
I also created a report starting with 613acbee-6050-46fb-b251
If you have a solution to update regularly snapshots without error it would be nice !

I’m tired of searching for a camera that meets my requirements. I hope you can recommend a camera from your experience that connects directly to Homey via your app and has the following features: battery power and, of course, Wi-Fi.

The camera should be able to take a snapshot, triggered by a flow, and then sent via email.

@Austriacus I would suggest to checkout the youtube channel of “LifeHackster” he makes reviews for a lot of Eufy cameras

Keep in mind no Eufy camera can communicate only via Homey. It always needs a eufy app on your phone and cloud connection

Good reminder. Definately prefer local solutions without subscriptions where they are not needed.

I hoped that a 30s was enougth between 2 snapshot for the memory use, definitely not, and I recently saw that my homey had some freezes for a few hours, not sure it’s correlated but I’ll try stop snapshots for a while. I also bought ethernet adapter & manually update firmware.
If it correct the freezing then I’ll retry snapshots but maybe with way bigger delay between them.

So to be clear, the Eufy notifications in Homey are still not working so any flow using that will also not work?

Not at all. After a short blip, a restart of the app was all I needed to get notifications to start again. Has been working fine here for 2½ weeks. My flows work, and I can use insights to see battery and temperature.

I see the battery and temp. It shows a snapshot from me walking by 30min ago.

In the Eufy App I get a notification as I walk by.

Edit: funny thing is that I have 2 the same camera’s but not the same “when” options on my Homey :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

After repair and select correct country my three S330 cams battery drained 10% over night.

Maybe it is coincidence but it happens for the first time.

I will observe this

EDIT: It is draining more. Now it is 12-14 %. I don’t know what can I do? today is 35 degrees and full sun. They usually are 0-1% usage per day. Yesterday they stopped working and I push repair button and changed to Poland not Europe and this happend :frowning:

@Lukasz_Kostek the app should go in to battery saving mode, that has nothing to do with the change from EU to Poland, because it’s the same API.

I have repaired the Homey-Eufy login and set to: Netherlands (it was set to Europe (not working anymore)).

I now also have the same Flow options fo all camera’s.

Hoi Martijn,

Today i installed Homebase 3 with some camera’s. I intergrated within homey with the information above. Everything works perfect, except the person recognition. In the eufy app i added the persons. With motion detection the eufy app recognise these persons, but my flow in homey not. Could you see what i’m doing wrong?
