Hi @martijnpoppen,
Sorry for the inconvenience, but my eufy app crashed and I don’t know how to see the report details.
Here is the report : 5162211d-8ddc-4916-9aac-e02e31532b0a
Thanks again for your help
Hello just recived my homey pro ans wants to set up my eufy cam
in the first step do i select homebase 3 there all cameras are connected or do i need to add every single camera?
thank you @martijnpoppen one more question why can i not se all my security modes a have one called night but in homey i only se home/away/geo/schedule/and custom 1,2,3
@Kakolle because there’s no way to fetch the names of the security modes and set them dynamically in Homey.
That’s a limitation on the Homey side. So the one you called sleep is custom 1 or 2 or 3
Only way to find out is to trigger it and see which one is set.
First of all, thank you for your excellent work on this app. It’s incredibly useful and integrates my cameras with Homey perfectly.
I am writing because I found a small issue while trying to create a flow for “unknown people”.
The issue is: When the generic “A person is detected” trigger fires for an unknown person, the [known_person_name] tag doesn’t seem to be cleared. Instead, it holds the “stale” value of the last known person that was detected previously.
My test case:
A known person (“Raluca”) is detected. Everything works fine.
Thirty minutes later, an unknown person (with a covered face) triggers the “A person is detected” event.
In the flow that runs, the [known_person_name] tag still contains the name “Raluca” instead of being empty.
This makes it impossible to reliably build logic for unknown people. The expected behavior would be for the tag to be empty/null for that specific event.
Thank you again for your time and for this great app. I hope this feedback is helpful!
I have a homey pro with various devices connected all working fine. I also have a eufy setup consisting of 8 x wall cams, 2x pan and tilt s350, 2 x2c, 1 xe340 doorbell, 1 x flood light cam, and 1 x homebase S3.
My question is this…has anyone had an issue whereby installing eufy on homey and connecting the devices causes the official eufy app to essentially stop working, as well as issues coming up on homey (eg hue lights controlled via detached shelly switches becoming unresponsive or laggy). I should add I have 4 eufy logins, one for homey, one on my phone, one on my wife’s phone, and one on a tablet. Eufy is also connected to Google home through the same logon I use on my phone.
The issue first occured maybe 2 months ago at which point I disabled eufy on homey, and then eventually deleted it. Subsequently all was fine, but I really missed eufy on homey. A few days ago I tried again, at first no issues with the official eufy app but also no cam updates via the eufy app on homey, so I deleted and resetup on homey. This time it worked on homey but crashed my official eufy app (eg can’t manually activate lights on wall light cams, can’t stream video, major delays in changing camera modes etc…),
I really just wanted to understand if anyone experienced similar and what they may have tried to fix it. In terms of wifi I am running a tp link mesh network and the homebase is connected via Ethernet.
I will of course in the future look to try and install eufy on homey again and do an error log, but I need to find a good time for this as I fear the issue will come back again and interfere with my lights (detached Shelly’s controlling hue bulbs) which my wife will really hate!
I think it’s more to do with perhaps my wifi config or similar. I don’t think it’s an app issue, just thought I’d put it out there in case another user had experienced similar.
Thanks for the reply also, I can only imagine how busy you must be managing this app and whatever else so thank you.
Hi @martijnpoppen , just received the notification to indicate the notification issue. But yesterday (sunday) I was still receiving notifications (for instance when the doorbell was pressed). Is it not affecting all notifications? Or is there something I haven’t updated, which means I’m not experiencing the issue yet?
I’m currently still working on Homey 12.4.3. So a bit behind on updates
@Daan_Dagevos It’s not clear who does receive them and who doesn’t (also see the post above from Matt
but the notification is there to inform everybody about it. Already go loads of questions in my mailbox about it. So if it doesn’t affect you, just ignore it for now
