@Richard_Neal can you share the Reddit link?
Thereâs a few posts popping up. Also in the Eufy security camera Facebook group.
Not sure if youâre interested but so far Iâve found with the latest versions of the apps, when you try to add a device, it wonât show a home. You have to go back and view the home in the manager, then it will show but it will fail to add a device.
Iâve worked back through some old app versions and the January version has allowed me to pair everything up as normal but using the same account in a device with the new app shows no devices. The devices do show in the web portal.
As an extra quirk, I tried my wifeâs account on her phone which was already running the new version, all devices paired up as normal. I tried to update her password so I could try adding it to homey (as she hadnât saved it and couldnât remember it), and all devices suddenly disappeared and wouldnât re-pair.
So Iâm running an old version of the app for now so Iâve at least got my cameras working
I have installed the Eufy Security app on the Homey Pro (2023). I followed the recommendation to create a second admin account and use that account to install the Eufy Security app. All devices have been added successfully, and I created a flow where a camera should take a snapshot. However, the snapshot does not appear in the Eufy Security app. How can I get this to work properly?
@Leon_1 probably is related to [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #5 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum
But maybe you can explain what you mean with the snapshot is not showing up. Where do you expect the snapshot?
Hello @martijnpoppen i saw some post about adding the water / freeze sensor. Was wondering what the status is about adding this sensor.
@SAL status can be found here [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #5 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum â status is none still needs to be done but Iâm dependant on the eufy library which i use and itâs not implemented there yet

I realised I wasnât getting any notifications from my doorbell as others have reported.
This is the very definition of âclunkyâ but I got detection notifications into Homey through the Voice Monkey service. That allowed me to:
- Create an Alexa routine activated by motion detection
- Use the routine to start a Voice Monkey flow whichâŚ
- Gets a web URL that activates a Homey web hook
Works reasonably quickly for me. The same approach also works for doorbell presses. More details here and here.
Gets me by until, hopefully, the SDK is fixed and I can start to get temperature/battery readings through.

@Andy_Henderson thanks for sharing!
Lot seems going on at the eufy side at the moment. ![]()
I have the problem that when I create a flow via Homey, for example, to set the alarm to âHomeâ at midnight, it immediately sets the alarm back to âOffâ afterwards.
I have already activated the force status.
Does anyone have any ideas?
@Aybee to me that looks like you have a conflicting flow somewhere. Which might trigger on changing the mode. Not sure
But you can send a diagnostic report then Iâll have a look
Code: b5a98ed5-9c12-4e01-ba8e-8e606ff59a8c
It worked for months, but now itâs not working anymore, and I donât know why.
@Aybee what I see in the logs is as soon as the arm mode is Home a flow is triggered which sets it to off. So I would suggest back track your flows
@Aybee strange. Also nothing has changed in the app. So not sure what happens here.
I found it. Today, I switched from Nuki to Switchbot Lock, and for some reason, the âLockedâ flow simply triggers it. It worked really well with Nuki.
A few days ago, I bought a Homey Pro Mini. The first thing I did was integrate my Eufy devices. I have a Homebase 3, 3 door sensors, and 3 cameras. I created the secondary account, shared the devices, and installed the app, but the sensors donât show the actual status and donât trigger any flows. Ex. when I open or close the sensor. Its frustrating.
Note: When I added the devices in Homey, I got the error âTypeError: Cannot convert null value to objectâ in AddDeviceSettingItem, in RCTView, in Unknown, in AnimatedComponent(View), in Unknown.
Despite the error, the devices were added.
@Aybee glad you found it ![]()
@Ricardo_Aguilar for the sensor not triggering flows see FAQ Q1 [APP][Pro] Eufy Security - #4 by martijnpoppen - Apps - Homey Community Forum
The error page is not related to eufy please contact homey support for that
I have all notifications enabled. In fact, if I open a door, I get a notification from the Eufy app. I use an iPhone.
