After the multiple app upgrades last week I don’t get a proper snapshot image anymore from the Eufy camera. The image I get send by WhatsApp is plain white every time. The same white image is see in the Eufy App under snapshot. The event image however is correct.
@Capetrip
Can you specify which camera. There has been no updates to the snapshot functionality. Except that the server is overloaded, see message above yours
Ok thanks. I initiate normally about 3-5 snapshots per day (doorbell and post box usage) This should not overload the server. My camera is a EufyCam 2C Pro. Worked until end last week well.
Sure I can monitor the situation if it gets better over time when you say there was no change to the snapshot functionality.
I was too fast adding comments. I can see now that pointing flows towards Homebase work the same. As Homebase talks to Keypad as well. Apologies for timewasting.
Should the option of adding Keypad then maybe be removed as it is there but cannot be added? Or is it there with a message for people like me
I have a doorbell dual camera from Eufy. I had this connected to Homey via this app before but unfortunately had to remove it because it quivkly drained the battery, even though it is connected to the wires of the original doorbell. Without Homey I never had to charge it, with connection to Homey I had to charge it every few days.
I recently added the doorbell again and this still seems to be the case. Is there any chance of this ever getting fixed?
I’ve gotten the ‘snapshot’ bug as well. If it comes from one of the app updates or the Homey update I cannot tell. What I’ve managed to figure out thus far is that the URL that was static before now seems to be dynamic (im using the snapshot url in scripts), in the sense that it changes sometimes daily, sometimes less often. This renders the prior snapshot to be deleted and replaced by the placeholder one. (I’m using the self hosted snapshot).
@Robin_Seuren please share the flow you’re using and send a diagnostic report from the app. That will give more insight into what might be going wrong.
