[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

Can you create a diagnostic report in the app? Then i’ll check for you what’s going wrong

I will. Can you tell me how (sorry)

Yes!
Go to more icon (3 dots bottom right) → apps → Eufy security → settings icon (right top) → create diagnostic report

Do you have 2FA enabled inside the Eufy app? This doesn’t work together with Homey

No. Disabled as per your guide

Are you sure your IP starts with 129 and not 192. Most of the times local IP’s start with 192

OMG🤯 you are right. Totally embarrising.
Changed. Now I get the error message ‘invalid_image’ and the arm mode is still not updated. Should I delete and re-install the devices?

That shouldn’t matter. I would try a restart of the app :stuck_out_tongue:

Hmmmm…restarted. Same?

Probably you’re locked out by to many tries. I saw a 401 unauthorized. This happens when the app keeps retrying on a wrong IP.
What you can do:

  • try a different extra admin account
  • wait 12/24 hours until you’re not locked out anymore.

If you want to verify if you’re locked out. Click the Save Changes button in the settings of the app.

It still says: Saved. Logged in to EufyLife
Another strange thing. Just ClickEd the off of one of the cameras and went to the Eufy official app. And the doorbell was turned off?
And back again.
Will delete everything and start over. Perhaps something got screwed up on install?

Hmm yeah that’s weird. I can check tomorrow for you. Have to leave now

Thx for your help. Sleep tight

Both of my admin accounts in Eufy can still access the official Eufy app with full functionality outside Homey. So don’t seem to be locked out?
I deleted the devices and your app in Homey. Rebooted Homey and re-installed both your app and my Eufy devices.
The situation is the same: The arm mode in Homey doesn’t reflect the current mode in the officiel Eufy app. The snapshot picture is still not showing anything else than the standard product shot. And the on/off stage also doesn’t reflect the official stage. But…
When I change the arm mode in Homey (in either of the devices) the actual arm mode in Eufy is changed accordingly? The other devices in Homey doesn’t reflect the new arm mode, though. But there is contact/connection between Homey and Eufy, at least one way?

Hi Martijn,

To get notifications in Homey about people being recognised (faces) I have to turn-on notifications on my Eufy app with movement notifactions. But this is a setting which is used for all accounts, now I get those notifications also on my phone… Is it possible to just enable the Homey-eufy account for movement detection?

Also - would it be possible to turn on and off the HDR/nightvision modes through Homey? I have a movement-sensor on a light on my door (outside), when it detects movement (also wind…) it turns on the light, and then Eufy automaticly changes to daylight vision - this happens a lot and is not necessary. The light at the door is automaticlly turned off at 23:00 hours - therefore, from then it should go to nightmode…

I use the Telegram app in Homey, to push faces and door-press events, because Homey doesn’t store the images offcourse, and also, if my doorbell is stolen, I don’t have acces to the images anymore… Therefore I want people to be noticed and send to Telegram, but not to my phone

@Nitramevo ,
Yes that’s correct. So it works as it should

It’s one way traffic. Homey can change something in Eufy. But Eufy cannot change it in Homey. For now it’s not possible to retrieve the status from Eufy. I’m working on a fix to get the security mode from Eufy.

Images are only updated when you get an event like (motion/doorbell press).

Hi @Crashy ,
This question came up last week. There is a work around: Eufy - #548 by Avi_de_Winter
Unfortunately Eufy doesn’t provide these settings per user only per system. :frowning:

As far as I know the nightvision mode is off or auto.
I’ll check if there’s a way to force it. I’ll put it on the list
