Aw, I was afraid of that. Oh well, you’ve done an amazing job reverse engineering this whole thing, and it brings my smarthome a ton of functionality that otherwise wouldn’t have been possible. Thank you
@martijnpoppen , I seem to have an unplanned feature
For the wired doorbell, when switch the device off and on. Both result in switching the device off.
This happens for both when using the button of the device in homey and in flows using the cards for switch on, switch off and switch on or off.
I’ve send a diagnostic report after my multiple tests. Not sure if that helps: ff07fa20-5850-423f-b139-ea2b05713ac7
@Stefan_Lenders Ah that’s a old bug which Returned. Will fix
Thx, If I need to test any fix let me know!
Hi @martijnpoppen , I’m aware that battery and temp. are not getting updated regularly however recently one of the camera is even reporting nonsense - switching between 9x% (valid) and 24% (non-sense).
Can you have a look, what’s going on please ?

Btw, re temp - that particular, which reports non-sense, for past 24 hours is updating temperature very nicely - other two cams - nothing, no updates…
Now the difference is that 2 cams are Eufycam 3 (they report temp SOC like 1x per 2 days, sometimes even more often) and the one with working temp. updates and non working battery SOC is Eufycam 2 Pro (connected to the HB3).
@Sharkys no sorry im not going to look into it.
Its really bad reported from Eufy and it doesn’t really work. I rather take the feature out of the app. Because it doesn’t work properly.
Sometimes it does but its fluctuating everytime. The previous library did it a bit better because it was cached on API level. With this library its coming via p2p. But rewriting it is not possible and if it were possible the result would still be inconsistent
Understand, I was hoping that those differences between version cam v2 and v3 will provide some lead to resolve it as regarding temp for example, on v2 it seems to be working better then before.
On the other side, battery has been reported with delay but was working till aprox. 15.8. so probably something has been changed. (updated)
Maybe just to understand :
- temperature monitoring - works for Cam v2, do not work for v3 (or several days delayed)
- battery works for Cam v3, do not work (fluctuate) since 22.8 on v2
@Sharkys maybe something changed in the library. But not sure what can cause that.
Yeah agreed remove it, not really or trusted source.
Or maybe be keep it by default disabled with option user to enable it ? I always prefer choice.
But by “it” - do you mean both battery and temp ? That would be a bummer for me if both to be honest, as I’m keeping track on battery thanks to this - the problem is that on Cam v2 it got broken recently.
Btw, correction - it seems it’s fluctuating since 15.8. - with the difference that it was going to ~50% instead of ~20% (I have trigger <30%, that’s why I did not notice)
@Sharkys yeah both. as both do’nt work poperly. I can’t tell you what has changed only that it’s broken for quite long time. Already spent many hours on this. Next to that got a lot of questions on this battery and temp issue, so it will probably be removed in some future version
Hmm… so can this be configurable instead of removal or it’s too hard / time demanding to implement a configurable option ? As I mentioned, seems it’s working as I described. …
Not complains, questions
@Sharkys configurarble is possible !
no idea what you;re talking about
I guess sharkys is applying to be your support contact to handle all complai eh questions.
Well, Martijn “knows” me a little
That would be awesome.
Btw, just installed this integration on ioBroker, is your library ioBroker based ? Just if there will be any added value comparing those two… at this moment seems it’s showing the most recent data but I have used newly created account, so …
Seem’s it capable of showing a lot of data…I wonder what means dog lick
@Sharkys it’s not completely ioBroker based. I’m using this client: GitHub - bropat/eufy-security-client: This shared library allows to control Eufy security devices by connecting to the Eufy cloud servers and local/remote stations over p2p.
but the same maintainer buld it for ioBroker; GitHub - bropat/ioBroker.eusec: This ioBroker adapter allows to control Eufy security devices by connecting to the Eufy cloud servers.
@Sharkys so more data is possible, but i’m always trying to keep things as generic as possible in this app.
Thank you. So let me run it for few hours/day or two, I will compare what I get and how frequently. As I mentioned, I used new account and I wonder if that might cause some refresh of data…
Understand. But seeing dog lick and dog poop would be something
On the generic stuff, if that would be working, there are some nice stuff, like : charging state, antitheft detection enabled, wifi RSSI etc. … but question is if that also works and again EUFY is not restricting / limiting it again…
@Sharkys yeah indeed.
The dog detection is possible to add. But i skipped that during the HB3 integration as it was not stable yet.
Is this available on every HB3 connected cam?
