Hi @noflow ,
You can do the same thing if you want.
Enable DEBUG in the settings and send me your ACTOR_ID in a DM,
Just checked the issues from @Ed_Steenhoek @dene30 and @noflow.
Thereās an issue with registering images if an device is just paired.
A way to fix this is to restart the app. Then the images are registered with every notification.
I created an bug for this and will investigate and fix
I see you removed the UI for quick notifications.
Are they fully functional now?
Testing now became a bit more difficult now I have to create or edit flows to test the commands.
Just tested using flows. Standard voice commands work after the doorbell saw motion. Custom voice commands donāt work.
Hey yes for now,
This version is now in ready for go-live. As it contains a few hotfixes.
When Athom approves this version iāll put the quick menu back. But the hotfixes are more important to go live
@2Be this is still relevant. Didnāt figure it out yet
Sorry. Just wanted to test. Not put pressure on you.
Haha no worries! I might have a way to test it tomorrow
I have issues Eufy doesnāt change arm mode when the flow in Homey goes. Have a feeling that Iām being log out. I have set up an additional admin user for Homey.
Some one else with the same issue?
I random experience the same issue. As a workaround I restart the app everyday. That seems to kind of fix the issue.
@Oscar_Strom @OetAelse
Does this also count for the on/off?
I have to say that I have the same issue and still trying to figure out why it does this.
So for example:
I leave the house and the camera goes On and in Away mode.
Sometimes when I return it didnāt shut Off and Disarm.
But actually the command was sent and it all seems fine.
Iāll try to find a way to reset the command-service after x hours. I think itās an expired token in this service
Please let me know if this is related to the issue youāre having
Hi @martijnpoppen , great work. However I am experiencing the same problem as @dene30 has.
Still only getting the default image everywhere.
I can āarmā, ādisarmā en switch the cams on and of. However I donāt get any images from the cam and also no events like movement detection and so on.
I have setup a seperate account and am able to login with that account on https://mysecurity.eufylife.com/ without any problems.
(I have just enabled debugging info⦠if that can help you
)
Hi Martijn, I mostly use changing the security mode. Donāt know if itās the same for on or off.
There is an option available in homey to automatically restart an app via a flow, just enable power user mode in the experiment category. I agree it has do something with an expiring token.

Just had a phonecall with @dene30 and he explained what happened. I switched off all notifications in the Eufy-app, that is the reason that I didnāt see any images and events.
After switching all events on, everything works as a breeze. To avoid annoyance I switched of the notification permission of the Eufy-app in iOS.
It would be great if it was possible to get a picture from the cams āon-requestā but it looks like that will not be possibleā¦due to API limitations.
@martijnpoppen , have you had contact with Eufy? It might be wise to get in contact for some support. They where very responsive when I contacted them for some support a while ago.
Added beers to your stash via donation
Hello!
Unfortunately I donāt use on / off, so I donāt know.
I will try the workaround by restart the app once a day.
Let me know if you find an solution.
//O
@Peter_Hendrix First Thanks for the beers
Good that you and @dene30 found it already.
I totally agree that would be really nice., Unfortunately Eufy doesnāt provide an API. There are questions for this API for like 2 years.
Iām using this library: GitHub - JanLoebel/eufy-node-client: Experiment to talk to eufy security Which is an reversed engineered kinda API.
As far as i know Eufy wouldnāt like an app like this. Also on the Home-Assistant forum they are talking about this topic. So with this āworkaroundā it works. And as we say in Dutch: donāt wake sleeping dogs
Yes will let you know!
Ah ok. My solution is to go in to app config and save my credentials. Thatās hard to automate, so I will try your solution from now on.
@Oscar_Strom I would suggest @OetAelse his way.
Saving the credentials might block you from Eufy if you do this too many times. Restarting the app is only logging you in again. Also I suggest to restart the app only once per day as too many times will also probably block you
New app update (test: 1.8.18):
Updated the test version to v1.8.18.
Two fixes made due to todays found incidents:
-
Fixed the commandService where after an x amount of hours the commands where unsuccesful (Guard_mode - on/off - quick response commands). Probably this is fixed now and commands are sent properly. CC: @OetAelse @Oscar_Strom @David_Ogo
-
Fixed the issue which @Ed_Steenhoek @dene30 @noflow had. When a new device was added the images were not properly registered. Now when a new device gets paired the notification service is restarted to include all devices.
Please test if any of this is relevant for you ![]()
