@ducken
Yes!
Do you have multiple doorbells or only one?
I do see that you connected one already.

I have only one.
Do you mean connected to Homey?
⦠How stupid am I???
I see that Iāve already added it to Homey, how could I miss that??
Really sorry for the inconvenience.
No problem!

Iāve got something strange going on. I have a flow on my Homey that sends a message to me when movement is detected by my Eufy doorbell. The doorbell was set to āall motionsā.
Last week I got a lot of messages, because the doorbell signaled some movements I didnāt see. Quite annoying, so I changed the motion detection to āonly for peopleā (or humans?). The number of messages dropped to a normal level. But after that, my Homey doesnāt send messages with a picture of the person standing in front of the doorbell. The original Eufy app atill gives messages, so the doorbell is functioning.
I didnāt change any other setting of the doorbell. So, the doorbell has a āpushmeldingā, I use 2 accounts of which 1 is used in the Homey, username and password are correct, I entered them again in the Homey Eufy app, etc.
I already restarted the app in the Homey, makes no difference.
Strange part is that when I test the flow, I get the message with the photo of the last person in front of the doorbell.
Anyone any idea of what is going on? How can I get the messages back again?
I think you are using the 'Beweging gedecteerd" card and not the āPersoon gedetecteerdā.
I have my flow set-up like this, so it will react on anything:
Thanks, will try the other card.
Iām surprised that ābeweging gedetecteerdā doesnāt report more movements, meaning that people are included. So, ābewegingā
Will always be good. But probably Eufy reports a different signal in case people are detected instead of other movements.
Tried the card āperson detectedā. Unfortunately, no message from my Homey when I left my home and looked straight into the camera.
Testing the flow showed the wanted result, so to my opinion the flow is correct.
It seems like the Homey doesnāt catch the signal from the Apple Eufy app. I change the setting of the doorbell back to āall movementsā and see if that makes any difference. Iāll be back
.
@Roger_Gorissen if you want you can send me a report. Then I can check if the event comes in ![]()
@Roger_Gorissen I saw a person detection coming in on 7:37 looks like itās working. Maybe also good to check if the security modes are set to push notifications?
Report created, 109b848d-0548-4095-8b6f-bd9868897c6c
Event on 06:57.
See your answer. According to the Eufy app (ios, not Homey) no one is coming in on 07:37. Do you see a signal on 06:57? Thatās when I left, so Iām sure something happens on that time.
All security modes have notifications on for the doorbell.
Might be that the timestamp is not correct here. But looks like Homey is able to receive events
Ah, ok.
So no technical issue. Now trying to find why Homey doesnāt seem to do anything with the signal.
Does the Eufy app sends different messages when the movement detection is set to āonly for peopleā vs āall motionsā? Is that the reason you have separate cards for āa movement detectedā or āa person detectedā?
It isnāt useful to remove the doorbell and make a new device? Or what do you think?
Itās just a different card to show the difference.
Thereās another card which you can use:
Generic Motion alarm. That will trigger if any of the events comes in.
Did you do some more testing? If so can you share a new report
Boys,
iāve been reading this topic for 2 days now and i still havenāt found a why to get my doorbell to trigger my flows in Homey.
iām pretty certain iāve done all of the above.
2nd admin account
uninstalled / reinstalled
removed , re-added devices
restarted with new account on Eufy.
iāve completely started from 0 on my homey so i donāt know anymore.
if i manually trigger Eufy in the Homey App my flows are triggered. but when i go to the doorbell for example and want to trigger a simple flow i donāt believe the events are getting through to homey for some reason. Anyone who can assist ? iām desperate at the moment XD
Eufy Security App v2.35.7 ( homey)
Homey v 8.0.2
so it all should be the latest.
note: iām not really an expert and do want to congratulate all iāve read above, but iād like to see it work for me as well.
When using the āGeneric Motion alarmā I do get messages from my Homey as I used to do. Both settings of the āMovement detectionā. Problems seems solved.
@Nick_Wuyts
Thatās strange
I would suggest to do the following:
In the mobile Homey app:
More - apps - Eufy Security - config app
Select the orange button in the bottom .
After that restart the Eufy Security app
@martijnpoppen
my friend.
i donāt know what changed but it works.
to be specific.
i reseted in homey with the orange button
then i forced shutdown the Eufy App
then i Forced shutdown the homey app
Opened both apps
delete all flows
reconfigure flows
And poof āMAGICā !!! works like a charm now.
verry verry thankfull.
