[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

Indeed @martijnpoppen - that would for sure be a deal-breaker! This is right now the most annoying thing. I bought a couple of Eufy door sensors, but I returned them again, because I need to have notifications enabled in order to have the correct status in Homey - and THAT is annoying :wink:

Another thing.

I want to easily see the current alarm status in the Homey app upon start up. Therefore, I have created a virtual device which I keep up to date through my flows (icon/button inactive when disarmed, active when armed etc). Through the virtual device, I can also change alarm state: home, away, partial.

This wouldn’t be necessary if your/the Homebase device icon could offer the same functionality. You don’t need to active/inactive the icon, but maybe some yellow small icon on top that shows if the homebase is armed, disarmed etc?

Yes I totally agree. :stuck_out_tongue:
Eufy doesn’t have a “normal” API so it makes it quite hard to fix this without getting locked out every 10 minutes.

But once I have a update for that it will be announced here and in the timeline of your Homey.

I could add that, but the issue is that that will activate the zone activity. I’ll have to check for the possibilities here. Will come back on that

Just wondering - any possibility of identifying the person who unlocked the Keypad?

My understanding is that you’re essentially using the phone notifications for this and the name is in the phone notifications

Reason - my cat feeder / cleaner etc have their own code but I would like to use different behaviour for my ‘deactivations’ when they visit as opposed to when we are home

Thanks!

@vaderag Possibly.

I think I can extract that from the homebase notifications.
It will be added as a token thought.

Will come back on this

Awesome.
A tag would be fine - if Homebase status changes to Home AND tag is “cleaner” Then X, else Y

Hello! Great work!

I got a question.
Is it possible to add Familiar Faces to the Dual Doorbell flow card?
Like “Familiar Face #tag(Family/Curiour etc.)”?

Hey @Alexander_Edvardsen
Unfortunately this is not yet possible

Probably possible when there’s a Integration with a API instead of notifications

Is it possible to get a tag by name?

the eufy notification say “Human at door” or if Familiar faces is saved, it say the name of the person.

Is this a possibility?
Just Name tag?

@Alexander_Edvardsen not sure. Need some info for that.
Can you send a diagnostic report?

Via the mobile Homey app:

More - apps - Eufy Security - settings wheel right top - send diagnostic report

Je zou eens kunnen kijken naar de face++ app, als tijdelijke oplossing

@Chris_nl
Yes but the new doorbell has this functionality. So would be nice if we could use that

PS: please keep this conversation in english

@martijnpoppen

A couple of days ago I requested the possibility to see on the Homebase icon whether it’s armed or not. I mean something like this.

In the same way that I can see whether the look is looked or not, it would be awesome to quickly see if the alarm is armed or disarmed.

@Peter_Kalrsson you’re too quick…
I was typing the release notes just now :wink:

New app update (test: 2.32.3):

Changelog:
1. NEW: add User to Arm mode changed flowcard @vaderag
2. NEW: add alarm icon when homebase is disarmed/off @Peter_Kalrsson

To test it you can install the test version by going to the link above and click the green button to install.
please note that it is a test version. So keep in mind when you no longer want to receive updates you can install the live version again :slight_smile:

edit: @Peter_Kalrsson unfortunately i cannot add that lock icon. therefore I need to change the device class and a lot more. So it will show as a yellow exclamation. Same as you see on door/motion sensors. (it won’t trigger the zone activity)

and on the sensors screen it will show too (sorry my Homey Pro is in Dutch :netherlands: )

Absolute legend! Thank you!
I’m away this weekend but will try test it when I’m back!

I was typing the release notes just now

Thank you so much for your effort @martijnpoppen, as always so appreciated!

However, unfortunately, this does not solve it for me, at least. “Disarmed” is a security mode I never use. I have Eufy’s keypad, and if we forget the custom button for a moment, you really have three different modes:

  • Home
  • Away
  • Off

I have created a new mode called “Partial arm”, that I have assigned to the “Cus” buttom on the keypad.

The most common used modes are “Home” and “Away”. If I get into “Off” mode, I will mute all sirens and then switch back to “Home” through a Homey flow. It never stays in “Off” mode, so to speak.

So, for me personally, I want to see if:

  • Homebase is in Home mode or
  • Homebase is in an arm state, i.e. Away, Partial Arm.

I can understand that you can’t foresee our different arm states, but if you could add “Home” to your existing implementation, it would be awesome, i.e.:

  • Add alarm icon when homebase is home/disarmed/off

As I said, this is how I use the alarm system. Maybe you disagree, but for me at least, this makes perfect sense, considering the button on Eufy’s keypad.

Thanks!

Hey @Peter_Kalrsson
I’ll check. Maybe i make it configurable via the device settings

I cross my fingers @martijnpoppen :blush: :star_struck:

If you want me to test anything regarding this, please let me know!

This is a bit of a basic question about the Eufy system I think which may well have been asked before so sorry for this

Given the Homey app uses notifications, is there any way to have the Homey user receive everything but the other users only receive a subset?

For example if I disable motion notification on my Doorbell when I’m at home on my or my wife’s phone then that disables it for Homey user too

Anyone found a way to make this work?
Thanks

@vaderag There’s one solution but not sure if that will work for your situation.
