[APP][Pro] Eufy Security

Hi @martijnpoppen - I really want to use the custom arm modes in your Eufy app, but unfortunately, I can’t get it to work. I guess I don’t understand how to use it.

I have created a new arm mode called “Partial Arm” in the Eufy app.

In the list in your app, when creating a new flow, I can only select “Custom 1”, “Custom 2” and “Custom 3”.

I have tried to rename the arm mode in the Eufy app from “Partial Arm” to “Custom 1”, but had no effect.

Please help :grinning:

Hey @Peter_Kalrsson
Yes unfortunately Homey doesn’t allow to change the list with options based on data. So that’s why I called Them custom 1-3.

Custom 1 Will be the first custom arm mode you created
Custom 2 the second etc.

So i named mine custom 1-3 in my Eufy app too

Maybe you can add a number to it. So you know later which is what

Ok, since you’re using it @martijnpoppen, I guess it’s working.

But for me, nothing happens. I have only created one arm mode, called “Partial Arm”.

I have switch the arm mode to “Partial Arm” in the Eufy app.

Created this flow: Delat Flow | Homey

The trigger should work, because the camera reacts and records in the Eufy app, but nothing happens in Homey :frowning:

@Peter_Kalrsson are the notifications for your Homebase enabled?

So when you change the mode do you get a push notifications on your phone?

Also are the push notifications for your camera enabled?

Hmm, I missed that “small” detail  No, I only checked “Record Video”, not “Push Notification”.

I have now checked it, and off course, it works flawless!

You’re the best!

I had a thought this morning and wondered if anyone had tried this.
I just got a keypad to switch modes, but that basically allows switching from Home / Away
The thought occurred to me that if I or my wife go out without turning it on (forgetting) then the geofence mode is not picking things up…
So I wondered if anyone had set something up to change mode to Geofence when arm mode changed to home so that if you forget you have a backup?
In my head this should work fine, but at the moment we’re not really leaving the house very much for me to test… anyone tried this?

I have a geofence as standard…
Can post it later today…

A copy of my flow Here

It should be presence/When the last person leaves → set away mode (on the home base)

It’s in Swedish (at least in my browser) but you hopefully get the point

Ah I see. Yes, I could do that but want my Keypad to be the primary, and use eufy (not homey) geofence as backup

Hi, I don’t know if this is a bug or standard behavior. I didn’t find a post that addressed this, so I apologize for any unnecessary spam. I have a Eufy battery doorbell 1080p (slim). If I set flow when doorbell pressed → send notification @image to user xy. In this possibly the user will not get the requested photo. But if I add a delay of 15sec (no less), the image is shown to the user. Is there any way to solve this? A 15 second delay is quite a long time after the bell. Thanks! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @martijnpoppen , not asking for ETA rather then if it will be ever possible to trigger the alarms or not for EufyCam 2 Pro ? Because you stated several times here that you doubt it’s working for Eufy 2C Pro, probably it will be the same also for EufyCam 2 Pro , right.

@Miroslav_Gluch

You can do the following:

WHEN - Doorbell pressed
THEN - Send image to user xy (delay 1 sec).

The delay is there as the image needs to be downloaded, but 1 sec should be enough.

If that doesn’t work please send me a report so I can check.

More - apps - Eufy Security - Settings wheel right top - send diagnostic report

Also keep in mind that a doorbell press doesn’t always include an image, that depends if there was motion or person detection beforehand

Hey @Sharkys

The Eufycam 2(c)(pro) (homebase based cameras) are all the same in the app.

I can try to get it to work but as mentioned

So without access to a Eufycam I cannot test it and build the functionality as should.

Aha, but I don’t see related flow (v. 2.31.8) ?

No problem, switching to PM.

Yep removed it from the app as it didn’t work and no-one replied to help out :stuck_out_tongue:

I really haven’t seen the request for access, I would then help asap

Hehe no worries, I see it wasn’t really noticable :stuck_out_tongue:
Thanks for the share, I’ll check it soon !

Problem solved. I didn’t have motion detection enabled on the doorbell and I thought that just pressing the doorbell was enough. If motion detection is enabled, it sends the picture right away. Too bad it doesn’t work without it, the battery would last longer.

Yep agreed
When i can get rid of the dependency on notifications it should be possible.

But not sure if that Will work yet
