:uk: - Eufy Security Smart Home Simplified [image] martijnpoppen: :warning: App status — please read before posting an issue :warning: Last updated: 23 October 2026 In short: The new Eufy app for Homey, built on the Eufy Mega platform, is almost ready for a beta release :tada:. This app (Eufy Security) stays in maintenance mode until then. Notifications, event images and API calls are still unreliable here, and that’s caused by Eufy’s migration, not something I can fully fix in this app. Progress can be followed here: Eufy Mega Discord :rocket: New app: almost at beta Together with other Eufy developers from the Homebridge and Home Assistant communities, I’ve been building a new Eufy Mega SDK, and the new Homey app built on it is nearly ready for its first beta. What to expect: One Eufy app for Homey, which will eventually replace both Eufy Security and Eufy Clean. It’s built on Eufy’s new Mega platform, so it doesn’t depend on the old APIs that Eufy is switching off. Migration will be needed. Devices will have to be re-added in the new app, so your flows will need updating too. I’ll share a migration guide when the beta goes live. It’s a beta, so expect rough edges. Please only join if you’re OK with testing and reporting issues. I’ll post here as soon as the beta is available, with a link and instructions. No need to ask for an invite in the meantime :folded_hands: :wrench: Current app: maintenance mode Eufy is moving everything to the Mega platform (the 5-in-1 app) and phasing out the older APIs this app was built on. Until the new app takes over: I’ll keep the bare minimum working as long as the old APIs stay alive. No new features will be added here. Fixes for issues caused by Eufy’s migration are mostly out of my hands. :bell: Notifications: hit or miss The app runs a hybrid of Eufy’s old and new systems, so notifications can be unreliable whichever side your account is on. Reliable notifications will come with the new app. Crashes Some users see app crashes. These happen when the Eufy API goes into a loop that this app can’t handle, and we don’t have control over what Eufy is doing there. Failing login Your account may already be on Eufy’s new V6 API, which this app doesn’t support. The migration happens entirely on Eufy’s side: we can’t trigger it, it isn’t tied to updating the app, and we can’t predict when your account moves. If your app stopped working, it’s likely caught between the old system being switched off and the new one not yet being active. The new app is the fix for this. If you’re hitting crashes, notification, image or stream problems, the sections above are almost certainly the cause, so there’s no need to open a new report :folded_hands: Progress on new: [eufy-security1] [eufy-life] [eufy-security2] [eufy-security4] [eufy-security3] [eufy-clean] Add support for Eufy Cam/Doorbell in Homey. Hey @Yannick_Eeckelaert Unfortunately not Currently all triggers are based on notifications. So only if a camera has a notification it will be possible

I hope that eufy wil make this work better in the future maybe a better Api, maybe we all can push them a little bit. Live picture in Homey end more! If a do a setup like in the picture. [image] [image] Wil this work? I want the home base to sound alarm when the floodcam outside sees movement en there is no one is at home or a sleep. ?

Hey @Yannick_Eeckelaert If you want the homebase to alarm you can do something like this: https://homey.app/nl-nl/flow/GU2wKU/

What is the deference between person detection end motion detection? I do not want that the alarm sounds wen there is a cat or animal Met vriendelijke groet, Yannick Eeckelaert

Person is person only, Motion can be anything. also cars, wind etc. The general alarm card (which i used in my flow) is a combination of all. So if one of the detection goes off this alarm card goes also off.

For the people with Unifi and Eufy. We need some help here  [image] EufySecurity: Issues Solocams within Unifi Network Questions & Help Hi there! I‘m already intense in contact with the developer of the EufySecurity App but we couldn‘t solve the problem so far. I have 3 Solo Cams (E20/E40) and 2 Indoor Cams in my network. With the Indoor cams everything is running smoothly, I can switch on/off, change security mode etc. But the SoloCams make trouble: I only receive in the App the Values like last movement, temperature, battery status but it‘s impossible to switch on/off or change security mode. My cams are as everything in my h…

Hi Martijn, I need to trouble you again. Everything was fine. But now I can not change security modus for the homebase end the floodcam, light activation floodcam also not working. Even got network error wen I activate light. Checkt op adres for both device stil ok. Restarted modems/accespoints/app/ home. Nothing. App report : 8392c6a5-21f5-4616-8f97-0d3901c4f8ab Sorry for this. Do not understand. Everything wa swirling fine until 1/2hours agow.

Hi, in case of interest for Anker eufyCam 2 owners and with 3D printing options : https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/115241-anker-eufycam-2-pro-nonpro-rain-and-sun-cover https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/115239-anker-eufycam-2-pro-nonpro-usb-port-and-pair-butto [obrazek] [obrazek] It’s “funny” that outdoor camera can’t be installed on direct sun, have no lens cover options at all by design and USB/pair buttons are directly accessible… for outdoor installation that’s not really ideal.

Hey @Yannick_Eeckelaert There’s a code issue I see. I’ll try to come up with a fix quickly

New app update (test: 2.22.3): Changelog: 1. NEW: Eufy Cloud IP discovery. 2. NEW: Make all Hub settings part of device. (Removed from settings page) 3. NEW: Retry mechanism if P2P connection failed. 3 tries before fails. (Local IP, Eufy local IP, Eufy Cloud IP) 4. FIX: Improved login system in pairing. 5. NEW: Warning if user didn’t setup a Homebase. (Homebase is required because settings are not global anymore) 6. FIX: error logs 7. FIX: standalone cam without P2P connection showed a error 8. FIX: Floodlight Pan&Tilt cam - security mode fix 9. NEW: renew dskKey when expired 10. FIX: wrong context in check Hub settings 11. FIX: issue with renew DSK key @Yannick_Eeckelaert should be fixed :crossed_fingers:
