Thanks for your good work
Whisper Flex 2 – no commands working
Hi Sven,
I have a Whisper Flex 2 connected to Homey Pro with Duux Gen2.
The device is detected correctly and all the controls are displayed in Homey (power, fan speed, oscillation, etc.).
However, the Whisper Flex 2 does not respond to any command from Homey, including power on/off.
The fan itself works correctly with its original remote control.
I tried several commands immediately before creating a diagnostic report.
Diagnostic report ID:
ce8fffbc-d09b-4b4d-b89a-3da0441b05b9
Could you please have a look?
Thanks!
Does the Wisper Flex 2 work with the Android app? Or a Apple app, if there is.
Can you try the new test version?
My Duux Whisper Flex 2 was working with the older version. 2.8.8.
Just to let you know.
Will update later.
Yes I know, that message about the test version was for @Jean-Claude_Jordens
I’ve installed the test version, but it doesn’t work.
I’m not able to turn on the device.
@Jean-Claude_Jordens Does it work with the original phone app?
Hi Sven,
Sorry for the confusion. I have now found the cause of the problem.
My Whisper Flex 2 had actually lost its Wi-Fi connection, which I hadn’t noticed. After reconnecting it to Wi-Fi, it is working again.
What confused me is that, while the Whisper Flex 2 was disconnected from Wi-Fi, Homey did not show the device as unavailable. It still appeared to be available and all the controls were accessible as if everything was working normally, although none of the commands could actually reach the fan.
So there is no need to investigate the command issue or the test version for my original problem. My apologies for taking your time.
However, perhaps the fact that Homey does not report the Whisper Flex 2 as unavailable when it loses its Wi-Fi connection could be useful information for the app.
Thank you for your help and quick response.

Yes, it’s worked with the original phone app, but my Whisper Flex 2 lost its wifi connection. That’s the reason why I was complaining against the Duux Gen 2 app.
It’s works again now.
Are you sure that it was the WiFi connection? I did see several errors in the logs that pointed at a bug in the app that was already fixed for another device but where I forgot to fix it for all devices.
