First of all, I were really happy to see that someone finally was making an homey connection for the vag cars. Big thanks to you for your efforts with all the homey apps.
I have an Audi E-tron 55. Only thing that currently seems to work is the lock and unlocking.
Current temp is missing a comma in the first screen. I see there is a start charging button (currently not doing anything) but more interesting will there be a stop charging button too? This would be a great feature for getting the charging done depending on the current electricity prices and while checking the house total energy usage so one does not blow fuses.
Martijn, may I ask, does the force refresh toggle works the same way ? I have tried that and it does nothing - at least based on the interface, but it’s unclear if it will revert button state automatically or not.
I kept it on for 10 min and no change…
Also I wonder, we might start asking / reporting about what works and what doesn’t (while those that doesn’t might be still under development). Would you please share some list so we don’t have to spam you ? Or maybe that will be ToDo for the official thread, right…
But no @martijnpoppen, I was just heading for bed, and you release this glorious update? I just need to play around a bit
You are ready for a donation, will fix that tomorrow!..
Great job @martijnpoppen!
You can wait to see if more people with ID vehicles report, but I can see that nothing really happens when I start the climate in the car.
Another “issue” I see - in the VAG app I see that the app is set to 22.9C, but in the official app it’s set to 23C - probably one of the application is rounding - for sure the official app allows only 0.5C increments anyway.
Small thing is the doubled temperatures in the Web widget, probably the first is “Current” and not target I assume …
Also I wonder - how can I check that the connection with car is still alive / connected, when having Connected=YES 17 days ago (even I know it was not due to the account error) ?
Also I have 5min update period but seems that the data are not getting updated even with forced refresh. Shouldn’t the FORCE REFRESH button have the same functionality as “Update vehicle data” refresh in the WeConnect app or I misinterpret it ? What is interesting though, when I refresh the data in the WeConnect app, it got always refreshed also in VAG app…
You might be wondering, why it’s so important - it’s basically because of actual SOC and associated automations - imagine you are traveling to work in the morning, you connect the charger so that it start charging at night (outside of peak hours) but it fails from whatever reason - without the data refreshed you will realize this too late.
All of above is valid for cases when car is "sleeping’ naturally, there is no issue when car is unlocked and moving.
Hi @martijnpoppen, currently I have not subscribed (Skoda Connect) but my vehicle is registered with the Skoda Connect Service. So I am able to connect the vehicle via your app with Skoda Connect without data update. Nice!
The connect icon shows no connection, which is correct. Nevertheless, I can perform actions with the app (e.g. lock/unlock), which of course have no effect on the vehicle.
However, the activities are displayed in the app as performed and logged which is incorrect from my point of view. I think it would be better to disable the actions in the app in the absence of a real connect to avoid confusion. What do you think?
