[APP][Pro&Cloud] Shelly

Ive not have had these issues however im nog a thing or 2 of electrics.

If for istance you have a regular 16a fuse and you’ll have a short circuit it would maybe generate 100a and the fuse would trip directly and only be heated up due to the high amp for a riny bit.

However iv’e had it several times where a 16a fuse is having 20a it doesnt trip directly but very slowly warms up and maybe after 2min it trips and it you’ll not be able to reset it for a couple of minutes till it has cooled down.

So does this Shelly device maybe show its internal temp and ampere so you are able to check if those are not to high.
AND are you applying to much current through your shelly or the screw terminals not good tightent or using to thin wires?

Thanks for swift reply! The main issue i have is that i dont get notifications to Homey. Not even in the log!

I do understand that the overheat and/or over current is real as the relay has a shorter response time than my fuses.

And have you programmed a flow like " if shelly device X has a failure then write failure to tag Y" and then write tag Y to timeline? Since i wouldnt know if failures you are talking about are automatically shown in the timeline.

And the explanation what ive given regarding the fuses, i meant it may also apply to the shelly (ie. To hot need to cool down dor X time)

Hi,
None of my shelly dimmers and wifi relays are working suddenly in Homey Pro. I restarted my homey yesterday for another issue and since then my Shelly devices haven’t worked, I’ve restarted a few times since then. Only shelly wave devices are working.

I get the error: Device Unavailable

This device is currently unavailable.

I can still control those devices using their IP address and through the Shelly iPhone app

all of my shelly’s are stil working atm invl Homey 2023 pro

Hello!

I just purchased a Shelly BLU Button 1 to test it as a presence detector in my Homey Smarthome (Homey Pro 2023)
I was able to connect it via the Shelly app, aswell via Beacon app. Unfortunately it did not work properly.
Installation instructions mention to add at least one Shelly plus/pro device to work as proxy for the button to work properly.
As the button is my only Shelly device (so far), I don’t know which device to purchase.
Can somebody please suggest a device I can use as a proxy? Relais switches are no option as I cannot install them.

Thank You
Peter

Hi can t find anything about the Shelly Pro Dimmer 2PM in the release notes (just 1PM) , is this already supported? Thanks

I am trying to use a Shelly dimmer, connected to the range extender of a Shelly RGBW plus. This works when I browse to the Dimmer on it’s IP, and I was also able to (manually) add the dimmer to Shelly using the IP:port (http://192.168.1.241:13378/)
But it stops working (in Homey) after a short while; it seems that the port is lost from the settings:

When I add the port to the IP-adres here it works again, but after a few seconds (or whatever trigger) it stops working again and when I go back to the settings the port has disappeared.

Thanks for the tip, ill try that!
I also see there is a Firmware update card, but it does not seem to be working. I think a firmware update might eliminate the short “shut downs”. Any ideas on that?

This should do the trick?

On the "device error " trigger you have two tags from where you can easily know on which device the error occurred and what the reason was. Anyway, what do you want to do when you will get this notification?

The firmware update restarts the device. How the relay behaves after this is set within the “power on default” settings. This setting also applies to all restarts of the Selly device for any reason.

Yes looks good. Only question the “shelly relay trip” is that the variable this flow suggests?

Like when you select that timeline card does it say “local tag” device or failure?

I you delete the devices and add them again through the Homey web interface it will be shown as an single device. Worked like a charm for me and is described here .

Might solve it for you as well

Hello everyone,

I have a new led light in my anteroom and using CCT LED stripes for that.
Everything works just fine.

Over night I want to change the color to 2000 Kelvin and 10% power.
In the morning it should change back to 20% power and 4000 Kelvin.

My Problem now is, that Homey can not set the color to pure white which should be 255,255,255 for rgb. Rather is will be set to 128,128,128 which is grey.

I have tried already different color codes, but every time I end up with grey.

Any advice?

Thank you!
Mario

Hello @Mario_Wurzinger
Although I have serveral Shelly but none are the RGB(W) version.
However I have had a color issue with a standard GU14 socket RGB light bulb ( and maybe also another item)
However I had the go to the Developer webpage from my Homey Homey Developer Tools
( In my case it was a Zigbee device)

then search it and press the dots on the right and select “Interview”

And after that it was correctly working as a RGB instead of RBG light bulb

I have no clue if this works for the shelly but it’s worth a try

Ah I guess this is only available for Zigbee devices something is if you go to devices in de Developer page then search your device and try to mess around with the Light_mode ???

Hov to use Shelly Plus i4DC with Homey pro, without scripts? The Shelly Plus 1 is so easy to use in flows - the i4DC
