I have a total 8 pcs of the Shelly RGBW PM installed. None of them let me change the color of the stripes. I works through Shelly app but it doesnt matter what I do on Homey, the color doesnt change. I can dimm but thats all.
Didnt find any similar issue here, so posting a new thread.
Hello, so I bought a Shelly blu motion (1) with the idea of triggering intensity of a light when motion detected.
Problem is latency is inconsistent and high, between 1 to 6 sec randomly each time.
I tried connection Bluetooth directly to homey pro, also moved homey pro near it.
I tried webhook url throught gateway Shelly pm mini gen3 unsuccessfully too.
I tried MQTT but trying for hours I could not understand nothing.
I am already looking to buy a eve motion sensor but here I am trying to see if I am doing something wrong cause I donât wanna lose 20⏠of a sensor that has lot of latencyâŚ
I canât add my new RGBW Plus to my Homey Pro 2019; the device is on the network with a fixed IP and I can control it (through the webUI). Also updated the firmware, but when I try to add a new device - using Any Wifi Shelly device - nothing shows up.
Iâm also not getting the option to add it manually.
Then I noticed that my Shelly app had âcrashedâ (all devices unavailable), but restarting was not possible. So I restarted my Homey, but it doesnât make a difference; still no device to add
In the FAQ I see that you also add the device to the Shelly app, but up untill now I have never used it. I noticed that the Shelly app is now a âofficial homey appâ? Does that make any difference?
edit: my Shelly app seems to stop or crash when trying to add, its v3.35.0
edit2: yes, trying to add the RGBW Plus crashes my Shelly app, or maybe my Homey app on the phone? Since on the webinterface my Homey (and Shelly) still run
Now I switched off the RGBW and powered up a new Shelly 1 Mini, and that is available to add, and now the RGBW is also reported by the Shelly app (using the web UI). But that has no power!
edit: after powering the device up in the above state I was able to add it from there
I noticed that for the new energy tab functionality (homey pro v12.3.0-rc.10), it is useful to select which devices âtrack total energy consumptionâ. Most of my Shelly pro 4pm units donât have this option. Only the newest I bought and installed has this option available. Apparently there is a difference in the driver somewhere?(Energy | Homey Apps SDK mentioned the âcumulativeâ field should be set to true.) Can I enable this option manually?
Thanks for anyone who knows more about this than me!
I am all new with my Homey Pro 2023 model.
Unfortunately I am having problems with the communication to some Shelly devices based on Bluetooth. I hope you might be able to help?
I have two Shelly 1 mini Gen3 , acting as potential free contract set for two garage doors.
This works excellent and instant.
As a feedback to the door position I have installed two Shelly BLU door/window sensors based on Bluetooth communication.
The problem is that there is a huge delay from my Shelly door/window devices . Not when the door opens , but when the door closes.
I have all the Shelly devices in both the Shelly app and in Homey. All devices are with latest firmware.
I have disabled Bluetooth gateway in the mini devices , and started BLE Proxy from Homey.
But nothing seems to help.
In Homey I can see the signal levels. It jumps up and down between -50 and -80RSSI.
The distance between the door contact and the first Shelly mini is 1 meter.
The second Shelly Mini is 5 meter from the first Shelly and 5 meter from my Homey device.
When i monitor the open/closed status in the Shelly app, it changes instantly . So the problem is the integration / communication to Homey Pro?
I would like to improve the functionality of my Shelly Bluetooth devices with Homey. I originally set everything up as described in this topic, using a Bluetooth proxy, etc. However, when I recently checked the page again, I noticed more information has been added, which has made me question certain things.
This page stated:
Please be aware, Shelly BLU devices only work properly with Homey if you also have a Plus/Pro device connected to Homey which can serve as a Bluetooth Proxy. The Bluetooth implementation of Homey isnât sufficient as itâs not properly implemented and has bad range.
Also be aware that the Plus/Pro device you choose to act as Bluetooth Proxy for Homey wont be able to send the status of the Shelly BLU to Shelly cloud for the mobile app as well. You will need to choose or use separate Plus/Pro devices for this.
I had already implemented the first point, but the second point is new to me. I now understand that not all Plus/Pro devices should act as Bluetooth proxies for the Shelly Bluetooth devices to work correctly, but in my case, they all currently do. Iâm unsure about how this works exactly and what distribution I should use between devices acting as Bluetooth proxies and those not acting as proxies. Could someone explain this in more detail? Thanks!
Iâve just changed from homey 2019 to 2023, and now my Shelly 2.5âs (blinds) show a power button, is there any way to remove this without having to add the devices again?
Gave Shelly plug a fixed IP address. latest firmware is on it, 1.3.3.
Shelly s reachable in network via IP.
Homey reset, Shelly plug reset, Shelly app 3.35.0. Homey 2.12.0.
Homeyâs free memory is 6MB
Storage space is 584MB.
Tried to add the Shelly to my Homey Pro 2023, this worked without any problems.
What else can I try to get the Shelly into the Homey Pro 19?
Update:
Just watched again to the Shelly Plug.S. There was another update, version 1.4.4. Installed that version and after the restart i can add the Shelly plug without any problems to the HP19.
I while back ive also had connection issues with an very old Shelly 1 after updating the firmware twice havent had the problem since.
Another question do more wifi devices have connection issues? Since if you are using the wifi gear supplies by your local ISP (atleast in the Netherlands) they tent to show issues when 20 or more wifi devices are linked thats why i switched to Unifi
I have a Shelly 3em with kontaktor that has been running flawlessly in a flow for a long time. But all of a sudden, it seems that it is not possible to trigger on/off from Homey anymore. It stopped working on 22 dec after 02.00 am cet. As the flow starts it for 3 hours, and it was never turned off after turning on at 2.00.
Was there any updates there? It works from the regular Shelly app. And it seems it is reading energy values, just not responding to on/off in either flow nor manual trigger.
Iâm sorry, I have another question that I canât figure out. I hope someone can help me with this. Thank you for your hulp!
I have two Shelly Pro 1 PM devices hanging. One does indicate how many Watts it uses, but the second one doesnât. It just stays at 0 Watts while Iâm doing the laundry and Iâm sure it should be more, which is also what my Shelly meter indicates in the app.
What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help me?
I installed 13 Shelly wave shutters and changed the settings to venetian mode to enable tilt option. Problem is that after a day or two, I get eror message âMissing capability listener: windowcoverings_tilt_setâ when trying to control tilt of venetian blinds. If I change settings to Shutter mode and than back to venetian mode, it starts working properly again.
Controling the blinds works ok using the buttons, but not with an app or a flow.
Itâs a bug in the app. You should report it to the developer.
Contact details are mostly available in the app store page. Many apps have a support thread.
Sorry! No responds yet!
I guess this also could be done in the Shelly app.
I think that everyone that has a water heat pump wants this application.
I have done an application in Arduino with a led display that works fine. But I canât get the wifi to work together whit this application.
After email contact with the Shelly developer Iâve received info on how tho change âWhats plugged inâ for a Shelly pm mini
Just make a flow and you only have to call this once and use this so change device to Solarpanel in my case. (Since for this device it was not shown in the normal device settings)
I have installed 7ea Shelly Wave PRO 1PM relays, and including went like a sharm! The issue i have is that some of the relays trips on over heat/over current from time to time, and wont reset. Not in app or on S-button, and i dont get any push notifications or alarms in Homey. To be able to reset the alarm i have to cut the powersupply for the relay and after powering it up i am allowed to activate it again. Really strange! They sometimes cut for just a couple of seconds, and then activate themself again, but no alarm in log then either. Tried to exclude/include, but no luck. Anyone had any similar issues?
