Would like to do a donation, but I’m not a paypal user (anymore). Any other option?
Oh yes definitely! Make a donation to WWF using your own back account!
Much appreciated …
Also wants to transfer something with PayPal. How does that work?
Most developers have a donation link in the app store but it’s somewhere below on the app store page. For convenience here is mine …
Once again, much appreciated …
… it makes me happy to know people appreciate the work I put into this.
Done.
Great app! Great support!
Done. Thank you for your great support!
I saw that this was implemented which is very cool! I was about to order a few Shelly dimmers and this opens up some great opportunities. I’m a little confused though - I get how Homey can read which input is triggered and start flows based off that, but what about the Shelly itself? Wouldn’t it still use the second input to trigger the physically connected lamp, or is there a way to “block” that within the Shelly software itself?
The Shelly only physically switches on when input 1 is switched.
So you can use input 2 for entire other things then what the Shelly is connected too.
Btw input 1/2 can be reversed in the software from the Shelly. So if you later decide you want it the other way around you don’t have to open everything up.
The implementation of the 3EM works great!
Question though. Could total consumed energy be divided to instead show kWh? Or will it change by itself into kWh once it reaches some kind of threshold?
The Shelly 3EM returns the value as Wh. But you can ofcourse create a flow with a logic variable that converts this to kWh if desired.
With Shelly app version 1.17.5 my Shelly 2.5 roller shutters are offline in Homey. I tried an Shelly app restart but it stays the same.
I have 2 of them I added them to a new Homey Pro, after adding both my Shelly 2.5 rollers are offline and I cannot use them in Homey.
In the iOS/Android Shelly app on my phone/tablet both are available and usable.
I know it has worked in the past but probably with Shelly version 17.5.2 or .3 I have disconnected them a few weeks ago, reinstalled them today and cannot control them from the Homey.
Shellies have the last firmware.
Shellies have a static IP address (given by DHCP)
Shellies are not connected to Shelly cloud
Shellies are restricted with a userid/password
Homey Pro is on version 4.0.0
Wifi network and ip subnet are the same
Diag Shelly App: 0cbf9807-9db5-4026-963d-******
The diagnostic report is full of the following warnings:
2020-03-07 15:02:06 [log] [ManagerDrivers] [shelly25-rollershutter] [0] Device is not reachable, pinging every 63 seconds to see if it comes online again.
This means the Homey can not reach the Shelly device. Either the entered IP is incorrect / has changed, the WiFi is not stable or something is blocking traffic between the two devices (a firewall or vlan).
Found my problem, the password for connecting is/was not correct.
But their seems to be a bug: it is not possible to change/correct the password to the correct one in the device, don’t know if password is not saved or something else, but only after removing device and adding it again with the correct password the device became online.
Ok, I’ll look into that.
Would you think it would be possible to increase the speed of the switching?
When I look into the switch itself the change is almost instant visible in the parameters. But homey needs almost 4-5secs to make it happen. I’m not sure if This is dis to homey nor the refreshing rate of the Shelly app?
Are You using Shelly Cloud? If so, try without that and You will probably have instant switching!
Yes I’m using cloud. But I tried to disable cloud access of the dinner already. It makes no difference.
Seems to me it has something to do with the refresh rate of the Shelly app on the homey. Because it seems to vary between almost instant up to 4 seconds
Are you talking about switching a Shelly through Homey, or updating the status of the Shelly when switched another way. Because for the latter, there is a setting with a minimum polling interval of 5s in your device. I guess this is to prevent from polling too frequently which could cause issues on your network / Shelly?
Yes, I’m talking about switching another device through the status from the Shelly
You might be able to achieve this better using MQTT. So by activating MQTT on the Shelly and listening to that topic as a trigger for your other device.
Activating MQTT is only possible through the web interface, not in the Shelly app.
