[APP][Pro] Bticino/Legrand/Netatmo - Home control, based on Netatmo Cloud API

Thank you for your response.

You can Play with “Ankleidezimmer”

All,

Recently I received many complains about the Netatmo doorbell.

On most cases, after ringing the doorbell, users never get the notificaiton on Homey, or they get it very late.

On other cases, users are getting the notification, but the image is missing.

I spent a lot of time investigating the issue, and - unfortunetly - I am absolutely sure that the problem is on Netatmo Cloud side. It seems that Netatmo are not sending the notificaiton upon a doorbell ring, or are sending it without the image.

I understood today that also the Netatmo official app for Homey has the same problem, so I am even more convinced that the problem is on Netatmo’s side.

I am sorry but there is really nothing else I can do.

I think that if you all report to Netatmo that their official app is not working, they might be convinced to fix the issue. So - everyone with a doorbell - please open a service request to Netatmo. If you get any response, please share here so everyone will know the status.

Thank you for this. Can confirm the problem. Does not work neither in your app nor the “official” Homey app maintained by Athom. I suspect that the issues related to the Netatmo valves (which rather recently has been fixed for many in the “official” Homey app) are due to the same underlying cause. If Athom could communicate what they did to fix the valve problem in their app it could maybe help the issue(s) in your app as well(?)

I have been in touch with Netatmo support regarding this issue and they point to Athom. Everything works fine in the Netatmo stock/smart phone apps (“Energy” and “Security” for valves and doorbell, respectively). Athom maintains the “official” app for Netatmo in Homey, so guess they need to be adressed? Either through Athom support or in this thread: [APP] Netatmo - Same home, just smarter. (by Athom) - #420 by Edoardo_Di_Meo

I already reported the issues regarding the doorbell (and valves previously) both in that thread and to Athom support previously. Athom acknowledges the issues, but a fix remains to be seen, at least for the doorbell.

Thank you so much for the support, it is amazing how you can respond to everyone in a very short time

Netatmo on native iphone app works perfectly
On home kit works perfectly
On Smartthings it works perfectly

On Homey I can manage programs, battery, only thing I can’t do (and gives error 406) is temperature change

Thanks for the compliment

I managed to fix the 406 error. I will release a new version with the fix soon.
As for Netatmo Native - they are working with a different APi than the generic one that they publish, so there - I am not surprised that all is working properly.
I am not sure how home-kit and Smartthings work.
I do know that Home Assistant has the exact same problems I am having with not getting webhook notificaitons on event. I really hope Netatmo will finaly fix it sometimes soon…

All - I just released version 1.1.34, which includes a fix to the Error-406 issue when changing the temperature or the mode of a valve.
If anyone still encounters error-406 after upgrading to version 1.1.34, please contact me.

Hello everyone,

I have been in contact with Netatmo and they have been investigating the pobleem with the doorbell and have confirmed the problem in the API that the doorbell is not working or has a huge delay.

This is now being further investigated internally by Netamo, hopefully a solution will follow soon, but the first step has been taken (investigation and confirmation of the problem!

To be continued!

Also the motion sensor of the doorbell is very hit and miss nowadays. May be part of the same sandwich?

Thanks !!

Some other question for the doorbell. I d’like to push a screenshot when motion is detected. I didn’t found any way how to do it, as the image is in format date, time and the push image can’t handle logic, seems only pictures. Maybe someone has the same requirement and has a solution, or an idea. Thanks!

@MGrosni - I didn’t exactly understand what you are trying to achive…
Here’s an example of a flow using my doorbell (which is a ‘ring’ doorbell, but it should be the same with Netatmo’s):

This flow is sending me the doorbel’s image every time there’s a motion detected.
Is this what you are trying to do?
If not, can you please elaborate more?

Hi Gal

Thank you very much. I found it, it’s not under the camera, but this flow and is named @image.

That does the trick.

Hi Gal,

I hope you’re doing well. I’m not sure if this falls within the scope of your work, but I recently came across Homey and am still getting familiar with its capabilities.

Here’s my setup: I have a Bticino Class 100X16E intercom installed in my apartment. When someone rings the bell, I receive a call through the Home + Security app (Google Play link), allowing me to answer and open the gate remotely for access.

However, I’d like to automate this process so that when the bell rings, the app automatically opens the door, eliminating the need for me to manually answer the call and press the button.

Would this be possible using Homey and your app?

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your insights!

Best regards,
Gabriel

Hi @Gabriel_Muller,

I recently tried to add the Class 100X 16E to my app, but failed since I could not find the device on Netatmo’s data provided to my app.
If you would like, we can try with your device (maybe it was just an issue with the specific device I was testing).
If you want me to try, you will need to share your home with me:

  1. Open the Netatmo Home+ Security App on your smartphone
  2. Click the "Settings’ icon (the “Gear” icon) at the bottom
  3. Choose “User Management”
  4. Invite me by using my email.
If you agree, I must warn you that I will have access to your devices. Keep in mind that I will also be able to see the pictures of any of your cameras (including the 100X 10E) so keep that in mind concerning your privacy.
I promise not to change any of your device settings without coordinating with you first.
I totally understand if you do not feel comfortable in adding me as a guest - it’s perfectly understandable, but this is the only way I can implement the integration to this device.

Thanks,
Gal

Hi Gal,

I can give you access, no problem. Invitation sent to: carmxxxxxgmail.com

Hi @Gabriel_Muller,

I have tried everything, but - unfortunately - I can not see your device through the Netatmo 3rd party API. This means that my app will not be able to see or control your device.
It’s the similar behavior that I have seen with the other user having the same Classe 100X 16E device. Seems like those devices are not registering themselves to the Netatmo API.

Sorry I could not help more :frowning:

Dear Community,

I would like to add support for Netatmo Smart AC Controller to my app. I can see there is a lot of interest in this device in the wild.
If there is anyone who own this device and would like to assist in adding it to my app, please contact me

i’m trying to put this energy meter into homey, but i can’t get it to work!

i downloaded the bticino/ legrand/ netatmo app, but the app can’t find it.
do i need to buy a “with netatmo” connected starter pack as well?
thanks for your feedback.
