Creating this post to create a forum to discuss and ask for support of my new Blauberg Vento Fan control app.
Features
Full control over LAN, not cloud required
Control of Modes, Speed and Timers
Settings of the device, like the Humidity boost trigger
Measurements like Fan RPM and current Humidity
Alarms like Device alarm, filter alarm, Boost active
Together with my wifi enabled LG airco units it can really help to control Supply or Regeneration modes as soon as the airco kicks in for example.
Note
Local communication is protection by the device pin on each FAN. Make sure you know yours or reset them using the Blauberg Home app on your phone.
Models

I have just installed the app. I can see and connect the vent to Homey successful. But when I try to control something nothing happens. I have a vento expert a50
Did you check the device settings and set the right device security code (as managed from the Vento mobile app?)
If you did that, please restart the Homey Blauberg app , try to control the device again and then send me a diagnostic report. I think you did, if so this is the error:
Error: device not responding, is your device password correct?
I log that error when the device fully rejects my commands, and as far as I know its the device password always.
I am working on a update for the app, so if there is a bug would be nice to include it.
However that version requires Homey Os version 2.2 and that one is not general available yet. Not sure about those timelines.
I just released a small update, it now supports the new Fan_speed capability, you should not really notice except that your flow cards are now deprecated and new fan speed cards are available. This is to align with the new capabilities in Homey 2.2, and me hoping that this is a push for other controls or dashboards etc.
I just installed this app, it works great. I’m using this for the WTW in the attic. Now it’s possible to let the WTW automatically switch to blow out moisture air when the laundry is drying here. And the WTW switches back to regenerate mode when the laundry dried and the relative moisture is back to normal.
Thanks. This wasn’t possibile with the original standard app from Blauberg.
Nice use case, thanks for sharing. I have a classic central ventilation system next to these decentral unit, when the central system speeds up i automatically switch these to supply to prevent an unbalance.
Can you start the homey app (my blauberg app) and let it be for 5 minutes, try to add device, then once that fails send me an diagnostic report.
Ill see if it shows up
I’ve done what you asked. I reïnstalled the app and the app recognized a fan. After installing it, it showed the options for a few seconds, but when I try to alter some settings, the app crashes. The report is: 1899512f-11bd-4939-a9bc-79585ffc58db
Is that enough for you to be able to look into it?
thanks, the log shows indeed that I am crashing on unpacking the responses from the device.
What I would need to find a way to solve this is updated documentation from blauberg.
We used (the base code is a shared github project) the following documents: b133_4_1en_01preview.pdf
But these only list the Expert models not anything else.
So lets see if we can find a document from blauberg with the same connection information but that includes other devices from them
If you can find those, and give me the exact name and model of the fan you got, then I will also look for it.
It is interesting it uses the same blauberg app and is already discovered, that would make it a high change they just changed data packages on these devices.
