[APP][Pro and Cloud] Daikin ONECTA

Does anyone here have experience of controlling a Daikin Alt 3 GEO (rock heat pump) based on indoor temperature instead of outdoor sensor? I want to connect the pump to one of my existing indoor temperature meters (Netatmo or Aqara) which is already integrated in Homey. The aim is to optimize the heat inside and at the same time utilize smart power saving via Tibber. I have both Tibber and Daikin ONECTA in Homey, but am a bit unsure of how best to set this up. Does anyone have good tips, suggestions for setup, or flow experiences that can make life a little easier? All tips and advice are greatly appreciated

Hi

Great app, I have a Perfera FVXM (floorunit), but the feature to set the verticale airflow output in a flow to floorheatingAirflow doesn’t work. Neither it works if this option is selected on the device itself. How to solve?

Hi thank you for reporting:
The “old” API has the floor_heating_airflow value available but in the documentation of the new API it doens’t show this value. So mabe they changed this?!
Please restart the APP and try to change the verticale airflow a few time and send me a (app) diagnostic report. I should be able to check it.

Hi, here is the report 3be61d6e-4a21-4d91-8238-4352387790b0 regards Frank

Thanks for the report.

I do see a 400 bad request when changing to the floor_heating_airflow mode. So it looks like it’s not supported on the new api platform.
But I do not see all data I expected in the diagnostic log.

Can you restart the app again and directly send another diagnostic report?

But if your a willing You can try to delete the device(be aware that all flows for the deleted device will be broken) and add the device again only with the normal perfera driver
This has the comfort(windNice) mode on the vertical fan. Maybe Daikin has merge this one with the floor_heating_airflow?

Als you should see the correct value when you create a then flow for the fan vertical.
These values comes directly out of the API.

Hi, I have deleted the device and recreated it as a normal prefera device. Now the floorheating output works well, see report 71109de0-c0bf-4a9d-aebe-c323f6dd182a . It is a workaround, strange that this feature is not implemented on the only device who actually this physical output. Thanks for your support.

Thanks you again for the report.
As tested the WindNice on the normal perfera works on the floor model.

That confirms that Daikin have merged these in the new API.

I will change the code in the next release.

I had a problem with my Althema III hybride and I have delete the device from Homey, but now I cannot add it anymore. Also reinstalling the app didn’t help.
After selecting the device, log in on Daikin the response in honey is “no new device found”
I hope someone can help.
Thanks!

I have the same problem. Had issues with my Daikin air/air inverter so I removed it. Now I can not add it again.

In most cases it’s has something to do with your Daikin account.

Be sure that the Daikin account you using to pair the devices in homey is the same your using for the Daikin ONECTA app(android/iphone) and all your AC or heatpump units are “connected” in this app.

To reenter the Daikin ONECTA credentials in homey during pairing or repairing clear your browser cache and cookies

@Mickel_Luiten That was indeed the problem, didn’t realize that i have use my Apple account for the Daikin app and also had another account on Daikin.nl.
Thanks for your support

I had the same problem. An account with apple ID and one for waranty. Glad to hear I was not the only one who made this mistake :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Does anyone know if the Daikin Altherma R Hybrid is supported?

Did you check the app page?

Yes I see only Altherma III Hybrid in the list and not Altherma R.

Did you read this thread?
Somewhere it said: If it’s is connected to Daikin ONECTA app(android/iphone) it also should work on homey. If not contact developer

Do you think the term Hybrid on the app page covers also the Altherma R hybrid? Unfortunately Daikin uses different names for same models. So simply try it!

Yes I did and it was not clear for me, otherwise I wouldn’t ask. I didn’t see that post especially.

But thanks for the clarification. I am still orienting myself and Daikin is one of the companies on the shortlist for the new situation.

Since the last update to Daikin ONECTA v 4.7.0 the airco units are not responsive through Homey Pro.

I’ve tried to ‘repair’ them but it gives me the error: “Too Many Requests. Retry in 3758 minutes.”

Please advice, I have 11 units connected, they were all controlled though homey . I need this

@WillemG Maybe you can show your flows so that people can see if there is something wrong with it and that you can change your flows.
Question, is for every device maybe a flow that is used every minute? Or something like that?
