[APP][Pro and Cloud] Daikin ONECTA

@Mickel_Luiten is itnpossible to add more data to the app. as an example, the exit temperature of the pipes. but also the return water temperature. On a altherma III. (This way I can neatly fill in my insights)

No, I bounded to the Daikin API , and what’s offered by this API.
Most sensors and functionalities that are offered in the Daikin Onecta app(android/iPhone) are covered by the API so that a good compare there a some specials I can’t implement.

Thx for the answer.

Hi,

It seems i cannot set the airco mode in a flow for perfera fxtm units. The set mode card gives an error: cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'map).

For fvxm unit it works fine. Diagnostic report: 26ce759d-880e-4029-8b86-4a9b6dcee60a

Is it a bug?

Kind regards, Eric

Please repair your device, for some reason there is no Oauth2 token

That worked. Thank you for your quick help!

Hi, I have a Daikin Altherma 3 R ECH₂O.
Any idea if it is supported?
Even then not sure how to do this. I think I need to buy a receiver as an add on to my heat pump.
The thermostate that comes with it to control the heat pump is super ugly

Looks like if i check the specification its should be supported beacuse it can be controlled by the daikin ONECTA(android/iphone) app.
If it not fitted by default you need to buy a wifi card fot this model

So just try with one of the already present Altherma3 drivers.
If you miss functionality’s please let me know so i can add them.

Hi and Congrats for a great app!
I have just set-up my Homey with an Altherma3.

My reading so far are good but what is strange is that the temperature set is limited to max 35C (although i am in heating mode).

Also, even in this range, my setting is not applied and the pump keeps running with its pre-set temperature.

Any ideas why that is?

Thanks

It seems that a similar issue has already been raised.
In my case it is set to “leavingWaterTemp” absolut control, so i would expect a 20
60C range on the control temp. right?

Does any api or IR command exist to define a specfic horizontal air flow postion (left, right or a percentage)?

Since (I think) a couple days my Daikin devices seem not to respond anymore to the app. If I change something in the homey app (temperature for example), I do not see a chnage in de daikin onecta app. Also not after a couple minutes.
Homey does not give an error however.

The other way around, if I change it in the daikin onecta app, also homey doesn’t pick up the change.

Flows also doesn’t seem to work anymore.

Anyone else with similar problems? Already tried rebooting homey and restarting the daikin homey app several times.

Did you try to repair the devices, if not please do.

I repaired the devices. Now it works most times, say 90% of the time.

Hello, first thanks a lot for this great app. It works well for me.
I have a question concerning ceiling clim with bluetooth connexion only. Is therecany project to develop homey component for devices than can be controllee by bluetooth ?
App is called daikin madoka

HI, and thank you. Concerning your question : Thats new for me
But the main focus is the Daikin Cloud, so no bluetooth.

Hey guys. I have Daikin air-conditioner and it is connected to the Onecta app. I created an account using Google login.

And here is the problem. When I want to add my device to the Homey, it opens the login window to the Onecta but there is missing Google login. Just Facebook or Apple. And at the bottom is mail+pass but when I type my Google mail and pass, it won’t work.

Do you have the same issue like me? Here is the screenshot. Thanks.

Create a second account by Daikin(non Google) , share your device thru that account and use this account in homey.

New topic on Dutch tech site Tweakers about discontinuing API integrations. What are the consequences for the Daikin - Homey integrations?

Perhaps the new official app “Daikin AC Air Conditioning” that works with infrared is an alternative when Homey visually sees the Daikin hardware.

Google translated Tweakers text:
Daikin starts platform for developers and discontinues existing API integrations

Heat pump and air conditioning manufacturer Daikin has set up a platform for developers. This allows developers to build their own integrations for Daikin devices, for example for Home Assistant. In a month, Daikin will close the existing API integrations.

Daikin Europe writes that it has put a Developer Portal live. Developers can log in there via single sign-on with a Daikin account to create integrations based on the Daikin API. This makes it possible to integrate Daikin devices, such as heat pumps, into other software. These could, for example, be smart home platforms such as Home Assistant or Domoticz.

In the future, Daikin wants to add new features to the portal. For the time being, the company only mentions the possibility of creating your own application credentials.

Now that this official portal is live, Daikin also says that existing integrations with the Oncta platform will end. This will happen on March 11. The API keys that developers now use to integrate Oncta into software will be phased out from that moment on. Daikin advises developers to migrate their integrations, but this will be difficult for many applications if there is no official new integration via the Developer Portal.

No consequences , since December 2023 iĂĄm already in contact with the Daikin Developers.
The Dutch Tweaker Thread is a bit overdone!
Most current integration are based on a reversed engineered code and also unsing the clientid and secret of the app that is reverserd engineerd.
That why Daikin have decided to make a “open” API but with some limitations so everbody can use it, It’s pretty normal in these days (Enphase did the same with there v4 api)

The Homey ONECTA app is offcial certified(by Daikin & Athom) app and shall be converted to the new platform with all functionality that now excist.
When this happens this will be announced
As far as i can judge now there wil be a seamleas migrating if user update the app thru automatic process or manual
The update in mandatory!

Daikin has told me that the old platform will stay online until every official integrator as migrated.

As of the rate-limiting that not problem, did already request to raise te rate-limiters and go for the user-based limiter instead of application.
Last be not least the rate limiter should not be an issue , (nearly) realtime update that are done by the remote. DaikinOnecta APP( or other integrations e.g. google/alexa are received thu a websocket and doen’t countdown on the ratelimiters.
