[APP][Pro and Cloud] Daikin ONECTA

Hey mickel ok thanks thought it was a problem on the homey platform as opposed to your app let me know if you want me to test something

Hello, the app is still not able to find the heat pump when I select the hybrid version, it does find the heat pump when I select ā€œAltherma IIIā€ and it works normal, is this expected?

Could happen,. Depends on your Daikin model.
But if it works it works

Am I reading this correct that it’s now able to send the room temperature to the Daikin system? So I can for example say to my air/air heatpump ā€œhey it’s 30°C in my roomā€ without having it’s own thermostat?

I’m getting a notice to update my Daikin firmware to version 1.23.0. (Current is 1.12.84.) Will wait to see if there’s any consequence for the Homey app integration. Will you advise as to wether we should update or not?
Firmware notes here:

(Notes are in English even if the page is in Dutch.)

No consequence for the homey app.

Thanks!

Hey in the meanwhile I have been able to add all the products to the homey from Daikin. One thing I noticed though is that he seems to be reporting the wrong temperatur for the altherma III water tank. In homey I can read 24 degrees where this should be 43 degrees this only seems to happen with the hot water tank?

Please send me a PM so I can investigate this.

Hi, is it Possible to change the status of the water tank from eco to comfort.
I now the temp. Of the water tank can’t be changed, but we can set different temp. For eco mode en comfort mode, maybe we can so activate the legionella cyclus?

Unfortunately that not covered by the Daikin API

Ok , thanks Mickel. then we have to try it from another way.

Hi, the app is very slow for update status or change settings.
Any suggest?

Hi,

This is how it works!

Be aware that it’s a cloud connection.

So if you update something from homey the chain is:

Homey----->Daikin cloud—>Daikin unit —verify command is successful ----> Daikin cloud ----->. Homey.

This takes some time so what’s slow?

BR mickel

This morning, homey updated the plug-in to 3.15. Is it possible that now it is quicker?

Why don’t you use local API too?

No changes for quicker updates in 3.15 only new capability.

The latest models (AC and heat pumps) doesn’t have a local API.

Older models can be upgraded so they support both local API as cloud api
For the old models there is another app

Thanks for your kindness. I assumed it was for the compatibility of the various models.
The old app is Daikin AI?

Search the app store for Daikin:-)

Can you check this log? dee1f423-af6f-4b3f-b14f-60ee32e2071e
I turned on the air conditioner via the Daikin ONECTA app, but no notification from homey

The websocket connection fails.
The websocket is responsible for the nearly realtime updates if a Daikin unit is controlled outside of homey.

This can have many reasons and I can’t much do about that.

Think of : problems in the Daikin cloud , bad internet connection or bad WiFi connection(homey).
