[APP][Pro] Amazon Echo - Looking for testers and contributors

In general the troubleshooting steps if the app stops working are:

  1. Go to the app settings
  2. If connected → Disconnect
  3. Reset
  4. Restart the app
  5. Go to settings and login again

If you get the sad puppy make sure you have 2FA with an authenticator app set up

Hi.
Had this app working flawlessly since it existed but this morning all my Echos stopped working.
Tried to reset, reconnect to my account, installed the test version and finally reinstalled the app.
But trying to connect with my Amazon avvount always gives the following error:
Error: Proxy Server could not be initialized. Check Logs.

AWS is having a massive outage. Not related to my app. You just need to wait for Amazon to get their shit together.

Oh no :face_with_symbols_on_mouth: - I was just to impatient! Now I have to recreate all my Echos and fix dozends of workflows :weary_face:

I have Echo spot (new gen.) and i need the card: your alexa device will play ‘romantic music’ on spotify. it is in de alexa app for the dot, but i can’t get echo spot new gen installed with that app. :frowning:

Just use the “Tell <command” where you either enter whatever you would say to your alexa, or just create a routine in the Alexa app and then again run it via the “tell” card.

Can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong. I’ve installed v1.1.3 and can successfully log into my Amazon account, but I only get one ‘Then’ card which is ‘When an error occurs’ and I get NO ‘Then’ cards at all?

Did you add any devices?

I have trouble with this app now for some time. It disconnected and I cannot reconnect, it gives me a proxy error. It can not start the proxy.

Tried restarting Homey, the app. Did the update to the test version. Still the same error.

Go into the settings, reset your connection, restart the app and try again to connect.

Also tried that, but found the solution. Disabled the other Alexa app (still had that running also). Then I could start the connection process.

Every morning I have an exclamation mark on the AMAZON ECHO icons and nothing works anymore.
Restarting the app doesn"t help. I have to “Reset”, “Reconfigure” and log in again every time… Then it works until the next morning.

Well I have used this app for a few days and its been rock solid, no dropouts or disconnects

The other Alexa app is broken and it seems that developer has stopped maintaining the application. I tried to get this echo app working but when trying to connect the servers from configure it just says “error: Proxy server could not be initialized. Check Logs”. What i´m doing wrong? I tried every server.

Edit. Now i did something and it started working :smiley::melting_face:
