[APP][Pro] Amazon Echo - Looking for testers and contributors

Hi there!
I’m trying to configure the app but I’m always getting the following error (tried different server, mainly the Italian one as per my Alexa config):

Don’t know how to solve
Thanks in advance!!!

I had this also the first time i tried to set it up. Just restart the app and try again, it should then work again.

Hi !
So far the app works fine for my Echo Shows 8 (2. Gen). no loss of connection for weeks.
Though I want to be sure Announcements are coming through and would like to find a backup solution to use my Sonos speakers if Echo is not announcing. Is there any way to check if Echo is in function and if not to make announcement over Sonos speaker?

Edit:
Today app stopped working.
No connection to Amazon anymore. Trying to reconnect fails with “Error: Proxy server could not be initialized. Check logs”

Where can I find the logs?
Thank you

Edit 2:
After reinstalling the Amazon Echo app connection could be re-established

Lost connection, re-installing it doesn’t work atm – seems to be a larger issue with some server, I reckon.

Update: after several attempts I switched off the firewall for Homey and got it back up.

I have a issue.

The flow card say message is not working. The wisper and announcement is working but not the say

Evening all!

Installed today as the other Alexa app did not support my entire setup, 2 x Echo Gen 4 and 3 x Echo Dot Gen 5.

So far flawless at the basics - have imported the everywhere speaker group and struggling to get it to do much but the limitations are posted by the developer - but hopefully future updates might allow more functionality.

Just wanted to say thanks to @staeff for a great app - very much appreciated.

Hi. I’m using your app with amazon.fr.
App lost connection since a couple of days (it already arrived in the past) but this time, impossible to connect again : I got the following message on the amazon connection pop-up page : Proxy-Error: Error: connect EHOSTUNREACH 2600:9000:218e:2c00:7:49a5:5fd4:b121:443
(adress on the top bar is : http://192.168.68.200:3081/www.amazon.com/ap/signin)
Thanks for you support.

Solved, but I don’t know why… after more than 10 tentatives.

Good morning. I use your app with an Amazon Echo (2nd gen). I use a door sensor including a presence sensor query as a trigger. This basically works. Unfortunately, however, the flow often (several times a day) falls on its nose with the following error messages (sometimes together, sometimes individually):

Error while checking Authentication: Error: getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND alexa.amazon.de

getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND eu-api-alexa.amazon.de

Do you have any tips for me on how I can find out why this is happening or how I can prevent it?

From my experience this is an issue with your router/dns server. The problem basically went away for me after I set the DNS in my network to point to 8.8.8.8 (google dns) or 1.1.1.1 (couldflare dns).

Okay. I use DNSForge (DOT) as DNS in the entire network. The only solution I could think of would be to resolve the IP address of the Amazon API server beforehand or to store it in the app. Is there such an option there?`

Edit:

So I withdraw my question. I’m fed up with the Echo and replaced it with an IKEA Symfonik (Sonos) speaker at the weekend.

I am happy and very grateful that I can now control my Echo input with this app.
(This was not possible with the other app).
What I still wish for would be maybe
in the IF column - If timer goes end
Then I could let my Hue lights flash again…

You can still create a routine in your Alexa app which then runs a Homey flow to do something like this

There is no way in Alexa in The IF Column - ‘If Timer Goes End’

Hey, I am trying to connect. But after getting the new window with ip:3081 its loading forever and nothing is happening. Does someone have a solution to make it work.
thanks

Are you on the same network/wifi as your Homey?

Yes I am in the same one

And you have no firewall or double router weirdness going on? You can also try to restart the app. But this very much sound like some network/router issue.

@staeff I was looking at the flow cards and was thinking if you can set a specific voice for the " text to voice " feature in your app

Hi, I live in Brazil, which Amazon website should I use?
