Sidenote: i have been using this app for several years now, never had mfa enabled, and only since a few days had peoblems. So i didn’t think about enabling mfa in my Amazon account. Thanks again.

Hi all, been using the Alexa app quite some time now and is really amazing. Unfortunately I’m running into an issue that I can’t add any new smart lights or plugs anymore. Restarting the app or homey doesn’t work at all, connection with amazon is working (devices their connection is refreshed after reconnecting). Message that I’m receiving when adding a new light or swith is ‘smart home device response invalid’. This does not happen when I add a new echo device, only a light or switch…Anyone an idea?

Same problem over here! When i want to add a specific light: ‘Smart home device response invalid’.. looking forward for the solution!
I also get the “Smart home device response invalid’” when trying to add a new Smart Plug - existing plugs works, but can’t add new devices (Ledvance wifi via the Amazon Alexa app)
Same here (also using this route to manage the ledvance WiFi lights). Tried reinstalling everything but unable to add the lights due to the “Smart home device response invalid” error.

I went for an alternative route.
Used local tuya to obtain the ID and key and linked it to Home assistant.
Home assistant is linked to homey and it works again now.

What is going on with the Alexa App, It is dropping from my homey pro. I have tried to add devices and its removing from Homey pro. Is there some update that is goin on?
Also, is there any update to adding Amazon Basic Switches to support Homey pro? You are able to add the devices but not able to add the Amazon basic Switches.
On Friday (10/3), my Alexa lights stopped working both in flows and through the app. When I try to control them in the app, I receive the following error message:
“Encountered an unexpected error value: ‘undefined.’”
I removed one of the lights from Homey and attempted to add it again, but I now get the error:
“Smart Home Device Response Invalid.”
I’ve seen that other users are experiencing the same issue. Is there a workaround available? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, since a few weeks, Alexa won’t add devices from Homey. I don’t have any specific error message. The « discover devices » command on Alexa will only reply with « no new device detected ».
I tried a lot of options with Homey support or by myself, even resetting my network. But nothing seems to work.
However Alexa is still able to command existing devices.
I also recently added a Ring camera which was recognized by Alexa (but Ring is part of Amazon).
If some of you have suggestions, it would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot

That’s the Homey skill in Alexa or the Alexa settings on Homey level. Not related to this app. So look in the Homey general device settings.
