[APP][Pro] Amazon - Alexa

Hello all,

My Amazon app disconnects from Homey Pro 2023 every day which in turns disconnects all the devices. I’m in the US.

Help please as it would be nice if this app was functional for me.

I used to have that issue, I solved it by using the device capabilities app to watch for offline devices, then use the alexa app to reconnect and if that fails restart the alexa app and then try to connect again

Any time frame for Echo show 8 (Gen 3)? I also noticed that you mentioned using Alexa groups in flows but I can’t see where to add a group in the flow ?

Found this app on the Homey App Store and I have a question about what it does.

Does this bring in smart home devices to Homey that you have connected via Amazon Alexa?

For example I have some Belkin/Wemo switches that are not supported by Homey, but are supported by Amazon Alexa. With this app am I able to bring those devices into Homey to be controlled?

I have the same issue… Impossible to reconnect alexa, the alexa site looks down when I try to reconnect with the alexa app parameters :confused:
Any idea ?

just use the device capabilities app to detect when its offline, the Alexa has a reconnect card option, if it is still offline after a short delay, restart the alexa app and repeat the reconnect option. works for me most of the time, maybe about once a month, I have to manually do a repair and log in again.
I also use simple log to get a log of errors when Alexa can’t reconnect

Yeah it also has disconnect issues. I try running them in parallel and they don’t disconnect at same time… but you mention the test version: could you please put it out there again so we can use the “generic echo” device you added here. I’m now messing around with 2 apps to get all my Echo’s to talk to me but prefer to use your app for all…

Support for Echo Dot (5th gen) eta ?

After 12.4.8 Update, I am not able to connect to Amazon - Alexa. I have lost all devices that are connect through this, seems like there are others reporting the same issue! Send help Please!

I have the exact problem. Homey Pro Version 12.4.8 update. Amazon Alexa v5.4.5. Alexa App Version (on iOS) 2025.12. I noticed a change to the iPhone Alexa app last week or so. I think it might be more related to this since that triggered many people reporting connection issues with the Homey app. I also have connection issues with the Emporia Energy to Alexa interface. Any pointers much appreciated.

The connection from homey to my echo show in stopped every few weeks and I have to connect it manually in homey icon.
Is there a solution for this problem.

I am using echo to start voice messages if therebis firealarm… if this is not stable then I can not use it for this task.

I’m in the same boat. The app is just dead and every time I try to reconnect, I’m met with an amazon error page

I have the same problem when I try to re-authorize my connection. In the end, I get sent to a page that doesn’t exist on the Amazon site (and it shows me dogs).

Je constate également le même problème, depuis un moment il n’st plus possible de reconnecter les Alexa sur la box Homey.
Lors de la connexion un OTP SMS et même mail est transmis mais à l’issue rien ne se passe, la page reste sur “connecting …” et rien ne se passe.

Pouvez-vous faire le nécessaire SVP pour fixer le problème ?

That dog error page is normally related to misconfigured MFA in your Amazon account. Make sure you setup the MFA in the current Amazon state to get through this process.
