Hello
Sometimes Netatmo app works well and sometimes it doesn’t work at all… I don’t know why but errors are “Nothing to update (Code 406)” ; “user quote reached”
I desintall the app, reinstall it, read devices. App works… 30min later : error “Nothing to update”
I have Homey PRO and Netatmo Thermostat, Valves and Weather
Anyone any idea?
Are you using version 5.6.5? There was a bug related to the valves earlier when adjusting temperatures manually on device or by flows. But this was at least for me fixed by an update. You do not state what you are doing when these errors occur. Please elaborate a bit more in detail. Alternatively, you can try with the community app maintained by Gal.
See also another discussion about Netatmo, specifically about the weather station, but mentioning the same issues of lost connection / data transfer. This very annoying issue has still not been solved.
Short summerary from this other discussion:
The error seems to occur at least when multiple Homey systems are used (Pro and Premium, or two devices).
A workaround for who doesn’t have too may flows (such as I have), is to use the Bticino third party app instead of the official Netatmo app. I am still waiting for a solution.
My Netatmo devices are not working anymore.
All devices have no update since 1 month. Re adding devices not working. Error is „invalid grant“ on new devices found screen.

@homey … will the Netatmo app be updated with the new sensors from the new Weather Station?
@Mojo: Athom is the developer of this app. If you want to contact them, you might want to reach out to their support team via: Support | Homey. They are not actively monitoring this forum.
After this week’s update, I am also having problems with the thermostat. It does update when I adjust settings in Homey 2019, but the other way around via the Android app, nothing happens in Homey 2019 anymore. It’s a shame again; it worked well for a long time. It just doesn’t update anymore.
The strange thing is that they adjusted camera settings. They didn’t change anything regarding the cloud API, did they?
Same issue with the radiator valves it seems in HP2023.
Sometimes it’s a server problem by Netatmo and it’s resolved after a day.
But it’s still happening now. So I’ll message Athom, I’m curious.
Made a ticket and Homey sent me an test version as update. Now it works again.
Athom has released a test version. So far, it works well in both directions again. Nice 2 man ![]()
Thermostat and radiator valves do not update unless restarting the Netatmo app. I’m on the test version 5.8.3 and latest Homey firmware 13.2.1
@Trond_Nordfjaern has the test version sorted your radiator valves problem?
Hmm, thought it worked when I tested with the test version just after release. However, now I see that changes made in the Android Control app (Netatmo native) are not reflected in neither the Homey android app nor the web-app. Communication from Homey app to Android app seems to work, so the issue seems isolated to communication from Android app to Homey. Best
Edit: Now the change made in Android app also seems reflected in the homey app. Probably just a huge API-delay (about 5-10 minutes)? I suspect the issue is in France and not the Netherlands.
Restarting the app results in the changes to reflect straight on, for a while, the few hours later again no response. Controlling the thermostat or valves only works for a while after the app restart.
I’m in Australia by the way. Guess you guys up there in Europe last thing you need is to start your winter heating…
I’m having an issue with a Netatmo Smart Modulating Thermostat on a Homey Pro 2023.
Setup
- Homey Pro 2023
- Netatmo app v5.8.2
- Netatmo Smart Modulating Thermostat (OpenTherm)
- Intergas boiler
Problem
The thermostat is discovered correctly and can be added to Homey, but all values remain empty (”-”) in the device tile and device view.
In Developer Tools:
- Device = Ready: Yes
- Device = Available: Yes
- Correct driver:
com.netatmo:modulating_thermostat - Module ID is populated
- All capabilities are
null:measure_temperaturetarget_temperaturemeasure_batteryalarm_contact.windownetatmo_modulating_thermostat_mode
What works
- Thermostat works perfectly in the official Netatmo Energy app.
- Current temperature, setpoint and schedules are visible.
- Temperature can be changed from the Netatmo app without issues.
Already tried
- Removing and re-adding the thermostat.
- Re-authenticating the Netatmo account.
- Removing and reinstalling the Netatmo app in Homey.
- Rebooting Homey.
- Thermostat is correctly detected as a Modulating Thermostat.

Has anyone seen this before, or is this a known issue with the Modulating Thermostat driver?
Thanks!
Hi Ad,
Please use the Netatmo app topic
In case fellow Netatmo users can’t help out, you’d contact the app dev Athom: homey.app/support
NB1 Diagnostic reports usually only should be sent by developers’ request
NB2 The part with [APP][Pro] in the title is solely to be used for dedicated app topics; please adjust, TY.
Dit is the normale Not the modulair.
So far, it responds quickly enough to temperature changes. Netatmo also has a new Android app—the Control app—which I’ve started using recently, and it works even better.
The only thing that hasn’t been resolved yet is clearly displaying the schedule status in Homey; it currently shows “null.”
Got a message from Athom, and they supplied me with a beta version which (for me) solved al the problems. I have no null’s anymore and everything is working fine. Great service.
