[APP] IKEA Home Smart - Create the right atmosphere for every mood - fka IKEA Trådfri (by Athom)

Ok. Then maybe it is a general issue with Matter buttons. I cannot test that because I have no other button devices using Matter.

But one thing we can agree on, restarting the Ikea app should not cause this issue. It is for Athom to find out were it goes wrong. :grinning_face:

My findings with the Bilresa dual button after some frustrating testing with Matter over Thread.

I had some problem adding the switch to Homey. The method that worked best, was to add the Bilresa button to Apple home since I’m using Apple tv as my TBR.
From there, I could share the button to Homey.

The button works very well with Apple home, I could configure the button to switch on a Kajplats light bulb with one click on the button, and switch off the bulb with a double click or a long press.

Trying to make a similar flow with Homey did not work.
It seems that Homey does not distinguish the click pattern, there seems to be no difference from one click and long pressure.
Not sure why, but for the Ikea app for Homey, the only flow for the Bilresa button is to check for changes in the battery level, maybe the flows for the buttons is not yet added?

I also have a Dirigera for testing, but I guess I will return it since I can’t see any benefits using this in my setup.

True, but they’ll need to be notified the preferred way, like they’ve mentioned on the app page at the homey.app store (which is: contact support).

Officially this is a users only forum :wink:

A post was merged into an existing topic: IKEA BILRESA not working after Restart of IKEA Smart Homey App

Same problem, I‘ve opened a Ticket.

It’s been almost a month since every IKEA device stopped working after I upgraded to HP26. I filed a case with Athom and they replied dec 31 with the issue being known but no timeline to fix.

The more cases they get, the more it needs to be prioritized. So please everyone having the issue, file a case with athom.

Anyone here willing to test something for me?

Does a KAJPLATS (GU10) light connected directly to Homey Pro 2023 (without the IKEA hub) have the option to set the Power On state in the advanced settings? And if the option is there does it actually respect the setting?

I need to have one of my lights not turn on when the main switch is turned on.

Thanks in advance.

That is fine, but if I do that they suggest to reinstall the button, which obviously does not work for multiple people :sweat_smile:.

No-one found a solution, or got a working solution from Homey contact center yet? My Bilresa button is feeling a bit useless at the moment.

Im in the same boat as you. Buttons useless atm. Logged a support ticket with Athom a week ago, but haven’t heard back yet.. :slightly_frowning_face:

Same here.

I was using a couple of BILRESA remotes somewhat heavily and currently dead in the water.

Someone got news about this?

I got a response from Athom today, stating that they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. Lets hope its an easy fix.. :dashing_away:

The latest version of the IKEA app, while not mentioning a fix for this explicitly, seem to have solved the issue for me.

Can you verify the same?

As I restarted then, It seemed to work ok and the missing flow cards appeared again. For now seems to keep working (fingers crossed)

Actually, the Homey Pro 12.12.0 firmware update fixed the issue for me.

Ah, nice. :100:

Sorry, translate.

Today I re-registered all the lamps after deleting the Ikea app.

I installed app v2.9.4 and connected all the Kajplats lamps via the Matter symbol, the first one via Homey and the rest via Android because they were placed too far from Homey.

It went smoothly and without any problems. The myggspray sensors and Bilresa will be installed tomorrow.

Except for the E27-1521lm lamps, the 1055lm and 470lm lamps did appear in the app. As did the myggbett.

I created a call for this in Homey.

Hi all ,

Maybe it’s just me but I would like to have some clarification about all the different buttons the Bilresa scrollwheel has when configuring in the app.

Can someone explain to me for example what the difference is between all these options?

omhoog =up

omlaag = down

vorige = previous

volgende = next

I really don’t know which settings I need for a good functional Bilresa device

I think 1-2-3 equals the yellow diode on the button.
Then rotate left/right/press for each and every 1-2-3.
Total 9 functions.
