I’m worried I might be the only one experiencing this issue, since I haven’t seen anyone else mention it.
I use scene activation on almost all of my switches, but since update 3.8.51 (April 2026), none of my switches seem to work anymore.
The flows themselves still work, but they are no longer triggered when I press the switches. I haven’t changed anything on my end. I’ve even created a few simple test flows, but none of the switches are activating them.
I can confirm this is happening on my end too. I use Dimmer 2 modules, and after the recent app update, the S2 triggers stopped working entirely. Like you, my flows are fine if I start them via the app, so the logic is there, it’s just the ‘Scene Activation’ that isn’t firing. Re-pairing the device didn’t fix it for me either, which suggests a deeper issue with the app version itself.
I’m having a similar problem with my Fibaro Walli Roller Shutters. The scene activation works with the upper switch, but not with the lower switch.
But are you sure it’s because of the Homey Fibaro update?
What version of Homey firmware do you, @0burner0 and @Eric_Perez, currently have installed?
I’m running v13.2.0-rc.2, and this firmware includes a lot of changes regarding Z-Wave integration.
I’m running Homey firmware v13.2.0-rc.2 as well, with Fibaro app version 3.8.5.
To rule out hardware issues, I tested by toggling the ‘Swap input 1 and 2’ setting in the app. Since the physical button then worked fine for the other input, I’m certain the switch itself is functioning and the signal reaches Homey. The breakdown is happening specifically in the scene activation trigger afterward.
I have also reported this to Athom Support. You make a good point about the firmware; given the major Z-Wave changes in v13.2.0-rc.2, it’s very likely the root cause lies there. Hopefully, with multiple reports coming in, they can pin-point the bug quickly.
Thank you for reaching out to our support and for reporting this issue. Our apologies for the inconvenience!
This issue is a known issue at the moment and also has been reported by other Homey-users.
I can’t give any guarantees on when this issue will be resolved, but please know that this issue is under investigation. We hope to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Thanks again for your input and for reporting the issue, we appreciate it!
For now this is all I can do for you as support, which is why I’m closing your ticket.
Of course, “healing” the devices in Developer Tools doesn’t help, since the Fibaro Walli Roller Shutters otherwise work without any issues—scene activation even works with the top button, just not with the bottom one.
And of course, I haven’t deleted the Fibaro app either. I’ll wait and see if they respond to my follow-up questions.
