[APP][Cloud & Pro] SwitchBot (Release 2.0.57, Test 2.0.59)

Still working for me.

:man_shrugging:

Edit:
Homey restarted. Working again !

Very strange

After reinstalling the connection it work fine until a firmware upgrade on the switchbot mini hub.

The Homey lock icon also showed the lock status.

New i have reinstalled it again, and the status is dissaperede?

I just got another ā€œrate limitsā€ error message. Restarting Homey and HA didn’t help. All Switchbot devices are no longer working :sob:

Edit:
Could it be possible that the limit has been exceeded because the Switchbot app is installed on two Homeys and Home Assistant also accesses the cloud? I have now uninstalled the app from HA and the second Homey. I will let you know if it works again tomorrow.

That will certainly use the API call limit up (10000 calls per day). There is an app setting that lets you specify how many systems are using the API and that will reduce Homeys rate accordingly.

If you are using a Homey Pro, could you open the app settings, select the detected tab and then tap on Get Devices. Once the list is populated, tap on Send log.

done

Edit:
Since 5 minutes works again :man_shrugging::partying_face::scream::thinking: ???

@Undertaker , I’m not sure if you meant to quote me about sending the log, but that was for @HP_Thomsen . Sorry, I should have made it a bit clearer.

But glad it’s working again.

I have been unable to connect my SwitchBot Plug Mini a VERY common device. Why do I see just about every Switchbot device but outlet. That does make a bit of since. How do I add these plugs? Same with Sonoff, just about everything but outlets, again that doesn’t make a bit of since as for the most part the first thing people buy is a smart outlet.

First, you need to register the Switchbot on your network via the smartphone app. Homey will then be able to find it.
Alternatively, you can add the plug via Matter.

To help us assist you further with Sonoff, please first let us know whether you are using the Zigbee or Wi-Fi version. The Wi-Fi version is not compatible with Homey.

Could you open the app settings window and select the detected tab, then tap on Get Devices and finally tap on Send Log. I can use the API documentation for most things, but often what is written doesn’t match what is reality.

works like a charm…

Does exactly what I expected

Happy New Year to all of you!

I read the whole thread and I noticed that some users also experience the same problem I do, which is Switchbot hub 2 does not update info to Homey Pro. In my case the longest I noticed was 14 days. I have aforementioned Hub 2, Outdoor thermometer and Presence sensor. While presence is updated quite frequently (but lag is unbelieveble, I use it to turn Eve flare in my sons room at night, sometimes I have to wait a minute or so to notice me), the temperature, humidity and light sensor updates only when I restart the Switchbot app in Homey. At this moment firmwares I have are: Homey Pro 2023 (12.10.0), Homey app (9.6.7.1869), Switchbot app (2.0.57 experimental).

I’m not convinced that this is a problem with Homey. I myself own a Hub 3, which updates the temperatures every minute without fail. I have a presence detector running in my bathroom. It also reports its status to Homey within a few tenths of a second.
Have you checked whether there is new firmware available for the Hub 2?

Yes, there was update last week, now I have V.2.8-4.0.

But this problem exists from 2 months or so.

If you open the app settings page and select the Log tab, you can set the level to Webhook Information and you should see the notifications coming in from devices.

For me, the notification comes in for the presence sensor within a second of the light on the sensor turning on. It then takes Homey about another second to activate the my LightWave lights, but the Zwave lights can sometimes take another 5 to 10 seconds to come on.

Ok, now I’ve messed up!

I’ve send you the log btw.

I decided to uninstal the switchbot app and installed it again. Now I cannot add the HUB nor any other switchbot device to Homey. :frowning: I tried adding it as Matter from the Homey and from Apple Home but no luck. I tried adding only presence sensor, it showed me to oAuth login to switchbot account and after long seconds I got a very long info about the error. I tried putting HUB into pairing mode in official Switchbot app and from Apple Home. I have restarted the HUB, the Homey Pro, my iPhone - nothing helped. :frowning:

I can send you a PM with a screenshot of this error.

I decided to reset to factory settings and set the HUB again. I managed to add it by matter to Apple Home, but I still cannot add it to Homey. I am frustrated at this moment and I have no idea what else can I do? :frowning:

Yes, send it so I can see if I can help
