[APP] Aqara & Xiaomi Smart Home - Simplify your life with a smarter home

Hi, new Homey owner here! It’s been about four months since the last update to this app, so I hope it’s still being actively maintained.

If possible, could the developers consider adding support for the following devices?

  • lumi.switch.acn061 — Aqara Smart 20A Switch
  • lumi.switch.n3acn1 — Aqara Wall Switch H1 (With Neutral, Three Rocker)
  • lumi.curtain.acn04 — Aqara Smart Curtain Controller C3

Thank you for all the work you’ve put into the app, and I look forward to future updates!

Hi, could you please add the Aqara P100 multi Sensor ?

I would be very grateful.

Just noticed that a temperature sensor has not sent any updates for about 2 months…

Last reported battery status was 30%. Just to be sure I replaced the battery.

Sensor is still not updating, but after restarting the app and/or pushing the single button on the sensor once, a blue light flashed (twice?) and a single measurement update could be seen. Battery percentage is still reported as 30% with this new battery…

What am I doing wrong and what’s the proper way to fix this?

This helped for me:
Via tools.developer.homey.app/tools/zigbee you can open Homey’s Zigbee Developer Tools. There you’ll find an overview of all paired Zigbee devices, including whether they’re online, and you can run an “interview” to verify the connection.

This is useful if you want to check whether the sensor is still visible in the Zigbee network at all.

I bought a super cheap second hand simple Aqara hub and run all my Aqara devices from that hub.

I have paired the Aqara hub via Matter with Homey and all devices appear and function as desired. I also get all the firmware updates of the Aqara devices (which was the initial reason I bought the hub).

The device is listed in the Developer Tools, but when clicking on “Interview” I get this feedback:

  1. First “Wake up sleepy node before interview. Interviewing a sleepy node may take a while.” in an orange toast
  2. Then “Interview failed (error: timeout)” in a red toast

What should be my next step now?

Keep the temperature sensor awake during the interview process, by pressing its physical button every few seconds, until the interview completes.

I have a couple of Camera Hub G3 devices which in turn have a number of child devices associated with them. Added to Homey using Matter. This has worked perfectly for many months, until recently when the Aqara devices become unavailable in Homey and stop responding. A restart of Homey fixes the issue for a while, until they become unresponsive again. Any ideas on what might be causing this and how to fix it?

It helped me already several times to try to add the device again to Homey. You will get the message that it already exists, with the advice that if you want to add it again you will have to remove it first. After this attempt the device is responsive again. So, don’t actually remove it, just do this attempt.

Aqara Cube T1 Pro not updating rotation (now it did, but it barely updates rotation. Probably an Aqara issue i don’t know.), one of my Aqara Wireless Mini Switch T1 stopped working in Homey and won’t reconnect (one still works, the second one doesn’t).

Are they matter devices?

@Doekse More examples of Matter devices failing

What is the development team doing to address these growing issues across the community?

Nope. Both is connected to the Aqara Homey app. I have an Aqara Hub M3, but some devices i’d like to keep in this app. (Using Zigbee)

These are Matter over WiFi devices, which pass through devices to Homey via Matter Bridge. This isn’t comparable to the issues you are seeing with your Thread network.

Not saying it is, which is why my message didn’t say Thread, it just said “matter devices”

I’m saying there are more issues with 13.3 than you are willing to admit.

Will Aqara p100 (lumi.vibration.agl002) be supported with zigbee? Matter is very limited. It only shows movement, but not knocking, falling, etc.

AQARA FP300 never finished zigbee inclusion, but in developer tools shows as unknown node.

I’ve reset it several times; I even set up a virtual machine with zigbee2mqtt and it detects it right away, but on Homey, I just can’t get the inclusion to complete successfully.

I don’t know what to do—it’s not the sensor’s fault, otherwise it wouldn’t work in Home Assistant, but I’ve tried everything on Homey.

Any ideas?

I have FP300’s in most rooms of my home… and even though I managed to get them to pair, and created numerous Advanced Flows for them… they have been the bane of my life since getting them. They repeatedly just stop responding and need a maintenance repair to start working again. Or they magically change their own settings, I change them back, save the changes, close the app and re-open it and go check, and the settings are saved how I want them… a few days later, they have changed again, and I didn’t do it and live alone :exploding_head:

The Aqara FP2 mmWave presence sensor I have in my living room just works, pretty much flawless. But the FP300’s seem flakey as all hell. But so far I haven’t managed to find a better battery powered sensor with similar functionality/capabilities. I suspect it is a problem with the official Aqara app on Homey. Aqara don’t seem to update it very often, and don’t appear overly responsive or enthusiastic about the app or OTA firmware updates. A real shame, otherwise my home would run on Aqara smart tech.

You could try using the Home Assistant app in Homey to link them from HA? Or try an Aqara hub and expose the sensors to Homey via Matter?

Pressence Sensor integration with Homey is really bad. Started off with the Meross MS605 since Homey advertised that it works natively. Could not utilize zone separation which was annoying, but thought I would continue to use it. it worked for about 2-3 days before it started dropping out. Repaired it and it worked for another few days and then stopped. Thought it might be Meross, decided to try Aqara fp300. Well, that is becoming even worse. Tried Zigbee and that was an instant fail. Motion and Presence just did not work at all. Switched it to Thread over Matter. That somewhat works, but it is not great. What is your QA when it comes to these approved app integration or do you expect your customers to do your testing for you?

Will there also support for the p100 multi sensor zigbee / thread ? @TedTolboom
