I have 9 Temperature and Humidity Sensors. 5 of the older version and 4 new T1.
The comunication with the older one works great but with the new one its very poor.
Does anyone else have the same problem?

The FP1E sensor signal doesn’t get interfered by glass.
The used app or smart controller isn’t relevant.
All mmWave presence sensors can “see through” glass (& even some walls).

I got this answer fra Aqara, hope you can add SD-S01D soon:

Hi,
Thank you for reaching out to us and for your kind words about our products.
The difference between SD-S01E and SD-S01D is that S01E refers to the online version, which is sold on the Internet, while S01D is the offline version, sold in physical stores or through distributors.
Regarding using it by adding it to Homey, our official support is through the matter over bridge method. If you are referring to using a specific Homey plugin (marked as Aqara app), this is not an official plugin provided by us, and we cannot confirm its compatibility.
Sincerely,
Kevin

@Peter_Kawa Thank You. That confirms my own theory and do you maybe own/use one(FP1E) yourself with Homey ?? If so, is there a property/condition available that specifies the distance to the detected entity?? And do you have any experience with it how accurate it is , even maybe through glass/a window (with double glass).
Thank you.
Hi Jake,
No problem!
I use DIY mmWave sensors, the technology is very similar.
The distance value should be available in logic cards (in theory developers don’t need to add “And” cards).
However, the distance capability should be added to the app by the developer;
Meaning: if there’s a distance indicator in the Homey app, it should be available in a flow tag.
Not with the Aqara sensor. My sensors (LD24xx) are pretty accurate. The tuning can be quite time consuming.
F.e. when it is pointed to the fish bowl, it will act very poorly, because the functionality is based on the signal reflection of a certain amount of water.
You should also be aware of the fact it’s signal is not fully stopped by walls or doors, or ceilings/floors.
The maximum sensing distance setting can be very convenient, combined with the sensitivity threshold (to filter pets).
I made a few assumptions in my earlier response. When I referred to glass, I meant only windows, since you mentioned detecting people walking in front of your home. I also assumed double glazed windows, which are the default installed option in Australia and Europe, and that they have a “low energy” coating. Most double glazed windows include a thin metallic “low energy” coating that is not visible but can significantly weaken the signal (metal = reflections). Shower screens and curtains do not have this issue.
Your windows may be different, so the only way to know for sure is to test it.
I have I working but connect it to m3aqara hub and then via matter tot Homey, works perfect. Itend to as all my aqara stuff to the m3 hub and then via matter to Homey. That way I have updates on the aqara stuff
Thanks.
But at the moment its a little bit too expensive your solution. That minimum 130€ (M3 hub + FP1E). Also because Homey is supporting the FP1E directly through the Aqara Homey app but its not specifeid which properties/specs are exposed to the Homey user. In need the “distance”. And also was curiuos about accuracy of any distance value of the FP1E. Currently I’m already using 3 FP1 an one FP2 with Zigbee2MQTT on my Home assistant setup and that is working very fine. But I just wanted to eliminate the many falspe postives of my flow “Somebody is walking though your Front yard”-push and voice-messages ( on my Google minis, Amazon echo’s and apple HomePod mini’s.
I hear it almost one every 3 hours and many times the person is not in my fron yard but on the pedestrian walk in front of my front yard.
Hi there,
i’ve bought the Aqara FP300 sensor form AMAC, thinking that this would easely install via de Homey Pro and with Matter, but unfortunatly the sensor is not found. And if i use Zigbee, it’s an unknown device.
The Aqara FP300 shows up in the list of supported devices, but doesnt seem to work. Can anyone help me with this ?
Many thanks,
According to the standard flow cards it should be there,
Just select a device @ homey.app store and matching flow cards are shown:
(it says so on top of the flow cards listing)
@TedTolboom Thanks. I had ordered one FP1E saturday and it arrived monday.
I installed/connected it directly through Homey Pro’s (2023) zigbee. It was about 10 seconds connected /available and then it lost it’s connection. What also happend during connecting/pairing is that all my innr SP120 smart plugs suddenly went off and went on after 2 seconds (powercycle).
I had this kind of behavior already with an innr SP240 smart plug and a sonoff SNZB-06P on my zigbeee network pairing. Both were only available for a few seconds after (seeming successful) pairing/installing/setup. (But No innr SP120 power cycle then). I will make some more testing and attempts to install it. Bu otherwise I will send it back to amazon.(nl)
But both the one innr SP240 smart plug and also the Aqara FP1E seem to function properly on my Home Assistant (ZBT-2) Z2M network.
anybody any sugestions / a clue what this weird behavior/problem could be ?? (i don’t have/own any Aqara Hub by the way to test it with that. )
I read on this forum somewhere that those might need a firmware update to fix issues, do you have an Innr Bridge to update them?
Already done this firmware update on my Home Assistant with Zigbee2MQTT.
Since then I didn’t try to pair it again with Homey.
But the Sonoff presence sensor had got the same problem later on when trying to install/pair it with my Homey Pro 2023 Zigbee network.
The 17 pieces of Innr SP120 model smart plug are working fine (although I need sometimes to repair the connection when the devices haven’t been used for some couple of weeks).

I have an Aqara smart plug monitoring my washing machine. It’s been working flawlessly for months. But three days ago it started being turned off. And I have no idea why. On the unit in homey it says deactivated by Aqara, but there’s no flows or settings that should trigger it to turn off. Probably some update that’s caused this, but what’s the fix?
Have you recently linked another ZigBee device (specifically motion sensors or remotes)? Those can create a direct connection to the smart plug when they’re paired close enough to eachother.
From any brand, or from Aqara? Anyways, at around three days ago when the behavior started.
From any brand, it doesn’t matter which, as long as they support Touchlink.
I am having issues with my E1 thermostats and T1 temperatur sensors.
I hav e flow that says “when temperature change in T1, set room temperature in the E1 to that”
7/10 times it trows an error that the sensor type is internal and please change settings. (Settings IS set to use external sensor from a flow.
and 2/10 times it trows a timeout error.
What am I dooing wrong? Why is it so hard to use an external temperature sensor to control the room temperatur in the E1 thermostats?
Hi @TedTolboom - can you please tell me if your app called [APP] Aqara & Xiaomi Smart Home is still available please? I’ve just added an Aqara vibration sensor T1 to my Homey Pro 2026 and it doesn’t recognise it. Trawling the web to find info and everything seems to point to your app but I can’t find it. This device is the only one so far that has failed to connect to the homey pro.
Apologies if I’ve posted in the wrong place as I struggled to find where to post this.
Thanks
