Hi

Anybody using the Sony TV IR app?

I’m trying to create a flow to turn our Sony Bravia TV to a specific channel at a set time, only the option to “Set Channel” is missing. All I have is “Channel up” and “Channel down”.

Is there some specific setup for this option to be available.

Maybe you can use number keys to choose the channel (automating the number keys with a Flow)?

I may have to, but the app advertises a “Channel Number” card and nothing I have tried has made it available so far.

There’s no way to set a specific channel by sending a command (IR doesn’t work like that, it can only send signals from buttons on your remote, simulating a button press). So if there’s a “Set channel” card, it probably also sends the number keys in that specific order (if it worked at least).

Thanks, I do understand how IR works, the app does not have the facility to send individual keys, so it looks like I am going to have to find one that can send the numbers and is compatible with my TV. Whilst the Homey IR app does have Sony codes my TV is not listed and I am not getting access to the numbers
