Add a Rextech (Ledstripkoning) controller

Hello,

I have a question to one of you.
I have a ledstrip what is controlled by a controller of the brand Gledopto.
So far so good. But last weekend I bought a new controller of a brand called “RexTech” (Ledstripkoning) During installation, I get the error message “added an unknwon Zigbee device”. The installation was done by the app Philips Hue, without the bridge. So after this, I tried the app from GLEDOPTO. This could be make a difference. But get the same error message. Have one of you an advice for me what to do? There is no app available called “RexTech”.

Thanks in advance.

Tried the Tuya zigbee app?
Else hit the lightblue button in the lower half of that screen you showed.

Cannot you just close that window? I suppose the ledstrip is added a a generic device and you will be able to use it.

Hello Peter and @Rmb , thank you for your support. Also the Tuya Zigbee app gives the same message. But I can see the product in my device list. I can control it. That’s okay. But if I create a flow from on and the color is set to orange. Then I press the flow the color red. Then nothing will happen. So I think that I ask the create an app for this device?

That is probably because a generic colored light is RGB.
So you need an app for it. It might take a long time before some one is going to make it.
So better return the controller and by a supported controller. Like Sunricher HK-ZD-CCT-A, which is supported with Homey’s native Zigbee technology.
By the way, I have no idea how to find which devices are supported by Homey’s Z-wave.
PS: in https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/devices you can see which capabilities Homey has found for your device. Like on/off, dimm, colortemperature.
PS: you might do something wrong in the flow, so push the tile of the ledstrip for a while until you get a new window and try to set the color from there.

Additional: sometimes “interviewing” the device sort of unlocks more capabilities.
Goto https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/zigbee
Then, lookup the device and press ‘interview’ (might be hidden behind the dots ... on the right hand side).

But, the generic zigbee driver still is limited. I’m not able to find any info what it supports for real.

Hello Peter,

Thank for your help again. The supplier gives/ believe me not what the issue is.
So I decided to buy another controller (upgraded one) from the brand GLEDOPTO as my current defect controller.
