Does anyone have any history / success with getting a Zooz ZEN55 (DC signal sensor) working with Homey Pro. I get the sensor to connect just fine, but it never triggers an alarm and / or changes status when testing the smoke detector it’s hooked up. I know the sensor is wired correctly and worked because as a test I hooked it up to a Hubitat Elevation and the second I push the test button on smoke detector it’s hooked to, the status changes instantly.

Having an issue with this app? Contact the developer here.
I will, but honestly I don’t have faith in the developer Zooz is using. I have a few other requests / issues from a few weeks back and no response or even acknowledgement
ZEN71 / ZEN76 Scene control in homey pro enhancement
It is marked as “enhancement”! I guess, that is done by @Koktail
b.t.w. maybe in Homey Developer Tools (scroll down) you can log the communication and find out if the alarm message is received, that info can help the developer to find the problem.
must be reading this community because I got a response lol
Can you share the fix? Mine also connects but doesn’t respond to an alarm. Thanks
This seems to bee the same issue they had with the Leak detector. I have emailed Zooz for a firmware update.
I don’t have a fix… I don’t think this is a zooz issue because I got this to work just fine with hubitat elevation… Seems like the Zooz app for homey is the issue. I brought it up to the developer of the app but to be honest they aren’t that responsive.
They fixed the Leak sensor issue fairly fast for me. I’ll let you know if they fix this too.
Let’s say they fix via a firmware update… How do you go about updating firmware? You can’t do via homey, from what I understand at least.
I’m not sure exactly how they fixed it but I sent emails to both Zooz and Homey and the final email from Homey told me to use a beta Zooz app. When i installed it and restarted Homey the leak detector worked. And this looks like the same issue. This was the link to the beta at the time Zooz App voor Homey | Homey Regardless, I am certain they can fix it.
are you JcsinFL on GitHub? I see a more detailed issue was posted on koktail-nl’s zooz github issue page Smoke detector ZEN55 same issue as Water Leak Sensor · Issue #50 · koktail-nl/com.getzooz.issues · GitHub
I posted #46 on their page 2 weeks ago with less detail, but no acknowledgement yet.
Hopefully the more people that complain will expedite this.
Yes. That was me. I had never used GH before. I saw your post and thought another would help. Like I said, last time they fixed it pretty quick. I’m not a programmer but must be a fairly simple fix. An update to the app must have been what fixed it last time and between my emails to Zooz and Homey support it was done in a few days.
well after a month of no response from koktail, I reached out to Zooz directly. Let’s see if this helps the situation.
I sent an email yesterday too. Hopefully they get things moving. I did notice the developer did a “like” on my post, so he has seen it.
Not sure if you use Zoom Q-sensors, but I have noticed none of the extra features work other than motion. No luminescence, temp, etc
I had those showing but I no flow cards. I see them now. Maybe I was looking in the wrong area. Thanks for update
so Zooz clarified they don’t have any direct ties with the Zooz app developer. See response I just received: I guess that makes sense since Zooz is simply a hardware manufacture.
"We’ve reported the issue to Homey’s team, but we have not received an update from them yet. To provide some clarity on the integration process, here’s how it works:
1. We develop and manufacture the devices.
2. Once complete, the devices are sent to Homey (and other hubs) for integration.
3. Homey is solely responsible for creating and maintaining the Zooz App for their platform, either directly or through a developer hired by their team. Unfortunately, we do not have access to the app’s back-end or the ability to make changes directly. Our role is limited to reporting issues and requesting fixes for the integration.
I want to assure you that this is not a problem with the device itself but rather an issue with the app’s integration on the Homey platform. We continue to prioritize this issue with Homey and will keep following up until it’s fully resolved. It’s important that you also report this bug to them since they will listen to users first before any integration partners.
We will reach out once we receive an update from the Homey team; please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions in the meantime!"
I’m running into the same issue with the ZEN55. When doing a test I can see the relay kicking on here on my bench but no flows are ever initiated based on the alarm going active.
Like others with similar issues there is no status change when in active alarm.
not sure it’ll help, but perhaps post on the developer’s website
seems they have been dormat regarding bug fixes, but maybe the more people who complain, the better.
