In my experience the battery powered Ikea devices need several retries to update the firmware, even when using Ikea’s own Dirigera Hub or Apple Homekit to update the firmware. So it is not per se a Homey issue. I think it is an issue with the devices.

Of course it’s a Homey issue, if it’s happening with multiple battery powered devices from different manufacturers.

Tried from home yesterday, no luck. Has anyone with a Homey Self Hosted server managed to update Matter devices?

Maybe it would be a good idea to put up a support page that lists the brands that are currently supported? Or add this information to the corresponding app?

@Doekse This is great and long awaited. Two questions: Do you have any news regarding Fibaro? It would be great if there was functionality where one could upload general firmware files to general devices, so that if I have an old zwave/zigbee device who’s manufacturer might not exist anymore …

How is OTA handled for Tado X devices? I only have a Homey Pro 2023, and no other hubs, an I have been receiving firmware updates since I got my first Tado X Radiator Thermostat at least a year ago.

tado X uses Matter, although I’m not sure if they offer OTA updates through the standardized CSA channels.

Do you have a Tado app installed on your device (phone). Last update for TadoX TRV’s was OTA updated very recent (a month ago) to 298.1.
