Where have you placed your homey?

I’m moving to a new house in a few weeks, and I’ve been thinking about where to place Homey.
Right now it’s in my office in the attic, but I know that’s not the best place.
I want to start fresh with the strongest possible Zigbee mesh network.

From what I’ve read the Zigbee coordinator should ideally be located in the center of the house.
So for us that would be the first floor. Unfortunately there are only bedrooms there.
Does anyone have Homey on their nightstand? :wink:

I have a couple of Zigbee repeaters (smart plugs from Innr and Frient - not using smart bulbs)
If I use repeaters, does the location of Homey matter that much? Or can I just build out the network with the repeaters.

Depends on your devices. I have Homey (2019) inside a cabinet at the ground floor and have no issues reaching all devices. Most of them are at ground floor. 433MHz at first floor works fine, and Zwave and Zigbee at 1st and 2nd floor also due to their mesh capabilities.
