Updated Homey pro 2023 to 13.4.1, no connection to cloud

So I made the mistake of updating my Homey Pro 2023 to 13.4.1. The update finished, but the Homey appeared offline, and it didn’t seem to connect to wifi. So I entered setup mode, and while it finds my WiFi networks, when trying to connect it says it can’t, and asks if I am sure the password is correct (which it is).

I then pulled the plug, and when powering up it did connect to wifi, and in the phone app I now have a local connection. However, the Homey is not connecting to the cloud.

I’ve run packet captures on my router, and the Homey can connect to the internet just fine, and it also does that for various apps that connects to their own clouds.

I can also see that it connects to the Homey cloud, but since the connection is encrypted, I don’t know the contents, but the connection is closed quite quickly. That makes me believe there is some issue on the cloud side. Their status page says there are some issues with “Homey Connect”, but not with the cloud itself.

Very frustrating, and I really don’t know how to proceed. I’ve tried many reboots, but to no avail. Any tips? I guess contacting support is the next step, but getting an answer will probably take days or weeks.

And right after posting this, the Homey came back online in the cloud, so I guess perhaps the problems has/had something to do with the connection problem reported on the status page after all.

Homey Connect is the remote access service for Homey Pro. This is how the mobile app, web app and integrations like Google/Alexa/IFTTT can reach your Homey remotely.

Right, but it is somewhat confusing with all the different statuses. All the other ones reported as OK.

And if I check now, even “Homey Connect” is reported to have had no downtime today, even if it clearly did for at least some users.

That’s strange indeed, maybe it will only show tomorrow. I also had problems connecting to Homey
