I’ve purchased 2 Nedis SmartLife wall switches but can’t get them to work. When adding the device in Homey (using the Tuya app) it’s not recognized in the right category, can only add the device when selecting ‘Other’. However; after ‘successfully’ adding the device there are no controls available. Under settings it does seem to provide some specific device data.
Please see attached screenrecording. I’ve already contacted Nedis but they refer to Homey…

Hello Sasja and welcome.
Return the Nedis wifi devices
I’d go for non-cloud dependent devices, like zigbee based devices;
Or,
if that’s not possible / you don’t want to,
Install the Tuya Cloud community app and use that one (it’s unmaintained though), instead of the ‘official’ app, which is on hold/frozen/left to die and hidden from the app store.
Also, Athom founders said about Tuya “I shouldn’t buy that stuff” (and worse). Meaning Homey & Tuya combination is going downhill.

Hi @Peter_Kawa ,
Thanks!! Yes agree, however, can’t return the switches anymore unfortunately. We all make mistakes
However, thanks to you I tried the legacy Tuya Cloud and it worked. So anyone with Nedis (/Tuya) wall switches; it’s a bit of work but it’s doable. Learned one thing though; according to Tuya The Netherlands is located in Central Europe….

Glad to hear it now works.
I started my “smart home” with a bag full of LSC wifi stuff, most of it still works fine.
I knew they are cloud-based, but …
Haha, well, it’s just how they try to spread the network traffic I guess, and apparently they shoved our little country to Central
